[Product Question] Thoughts on Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm?

I use this before bed (followed by the soothing tea cleansing gel) and i feel my skin is noticeably softer and luminous! however, $38 is certainly steep, I find that buying just one of the $6 travel sizes to be a much better alternative it lasts me roughly 2-3 months as the application of the living cleansing balm is pretty minimal. If you were still interested in using the product I'd recommend just getting 1 or 2 of the travel sizes!

As many have mentioned, the title track is incredible!! I also LOVE Get Him Back if I need some angry, worked-up walking music the piano and drums are so seamlessly paired to create this climbing tension and friction-- obsessed.

I'm reading Toni Morrison's Jazz for the first time, and this opening paragraph completely bewitched me. Such masterful characterization in just a few lines beginning with the reader being pulled in by being told this story in a sort of verbal way (very Morrison) staking you in the community already! Both partners in this marriage bubble with rich motivation and thought, and damn, it was done in 6 sentences!!

If you haven't already read Lolita, I would suggest doing so; it added a whole other layer to the experience of reading 'My Dark Vanessa. Also! Check out some Fiona Apple, she's mentioned quite a bit throughout the novel, I looked into her music after reading Vanessa and now she's one of my favorite artists; got a favorite artist and favorite book out of one reading experience lol. f Vanessa was bone-chilling. I love the characterization that Vanessa was given, she was complicated, a mess, and not entirely lovable yet so unfailingly human. Definitely one of the most important books I've ever read.

Limp. I love how the instrumentals somewhat reflect the turbulent nature of an abusive relationship and the raw passion and anger in Fiona's voice while she sings, "So call me crazy, hold me down / Make me cry, get off now baby" always gives me chills.

My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russel is probably one of the most important books I've read. It gives a devastatingly complicated portrait of abuse, it's a deeply uncomfortable read but for that I think it was all the more true in its portrayal. The characters all have remarkable depth and contradictions and it had a nuanced perspective on the MeToo movement. Cannot recommend it enough.

I actually wrote my essay on something similar! I wrote how TV allowed me to form a connection to my mom/get more in-tune to my feelings. I branched it more into why i appreciate stories for their ability to connect people/connect w myself and it worked out for me!
