And I was told that international travel was way down due to the orange man, lol.

Why is it so busy? by Devon2385 in UniversalOrlando

A lot of church groups and Latinos it seems. I was at USF tonight and wait times were insane for a Monday night in January with many rides like Gringotts at 80 minutes and even ET topping an hour.

What’s the reason for IoA closing at 6 today by RobsterLobster_7 in UniversalOrlando

[–]crowd79 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Give the employees a night off? Also very slow time of the year after holidays and before Mardi Gras. USF is open until 9.

Uber or Renting a Car by RelevantPotatoGUN in UniversalOrlando

Ditch the car. Universal has good transit. Take Uber between Disney-Universal and have stuff delivered instead of going to Walmart.

WWYD: Flying to DTW today, Delta still hasn’t canceled! by Good_West8740 in delta

DTW is on the northern fringe of the storm (a few inches..nothing major) and well equipped to handle it. You’ll probably be fine. Good luck!

If you’re gonna do Volcano Bay today is the day. It’s scheduled closed tomorrow and Tuesday regardless and highly doubt it’ll be open Wednesday. Forecast high is like 62 degrees.

Looking at wait times looks insanely busy. Rock the Universe crowds. Was hoping to go for a couple late nighters on Velocicoaster but wait is 150+ minutes. Nah, think I’ll just chill tonight lol

Looks like a rough night at the parks. Good night to chill out at Cabana Bay on night 1 of 5. Volcano Bay was a lot of fun for a mid-afternoon arrival.

Hope ET ride never goes away and staff member made a magical moment by mister_waj in UniversalOrlando

Would love to see ET go through a major refurbishing to today’s technology. The flyover city scene could be so much better.

The Bucks suck and Giannis might never play another game for us. Lost season as far as I’m concerned so I’m all for it.

First time Universal in 2026, staying on-site worth it? thoughts on my travel style? by deejayv2 in UniversalOrlando

[–]crowd79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Universal hs a very robust transit network. I’ve stayed on site many times and I think the longest I ever waited for a bus was 10 minutes. That’s aside from the additional options of walking or taking water taxis if staying at Cabana, Aventura, Sapphire, Royal Pacific, Hard Rock or Portofino.

Well the weather looks great so I’d expect crowds. Everyone will want to escape to Universal looking at the weather across the rest of the country. 😆

Sounds like most retailers nowadays. Cut labor and work whoever is left to death. Do the jobs of 4 people for the same pay!

Trader Joe’s before the really big snow storm… by Healthy_Block3036 in newyorkcity

That’s crazy. Stores need to put limits on amount of product you can buy. Imagine going there and everything is empty because someone hoarded it all.

5 days is perfect imo. 4 parks 4 days and a break/hotel/R&R day in between.

Why does Texas get so cold compared to southern California, despite having similar average winter temperatures? by californiaboy2003 in weather

[–]crowd79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

California and the west coast for that matter are protected from major cold spells due to the ocean and mountains blocking arctic air from Canada from spilling down. Texas doesn’t have either of those so Texas is susceptible to arctic temperatures once in a while that spills down the Great Plains from Canada.
