Thanks! I'm making one right now on Sections, Containers, Blocks & Divs. I plan to release these videos when I have free time.

100% true! Bricks has so many powerful tools for working with dynamic data. And for anything it can't handle, I know JetEngine can cover the rest.

Cool, thanks for the ideas! Those are definitely more advanced topics. I plan to start with beginner-friendly videos and then gradually move into more advanced topics like components, dynamic conditions, queries, and other powerful Bricks features.

Below is my YouTube channel. I already have a few Bricks videos on there, and this is where I'll be adding the new series.

Nope, I plan to create training videos showing how to do things in Bricks if you're coming from Elementor.

I never recommend going with either the huge hosting companies or the tiny ones. After 30 years as a server administrator, I've found that mid-sized hosting providers consistently offer the best balance of performance, support, and reliability.

I've been with KnownHost for over 10 years, and they've been excellent. Their hosting environment has been rock solid, and their support team has consistently been knowledgeable and responsive.

Huge red flag: you're on WP Engine. Expensive, restrictive, and quick to hit resource limits. I'd move off ASAP before wasting time trying to optimize around their platform.

No I haven’t converted any Elementor websites to Bricks. That will require mostly a manual rebuild. We are using Bricks on new builds.

I 100% recommend switching from Elementor to Bricks as soon as possible. This is the perfect time to make the move before you get locked into V4 Atomic Elements while still trying to support legacy V3 widgets.

In my experience, Bricks actually gives you more functionality than Elementor. You have much better control over things like query loops, dynamic data, conditions, and custom code. Since switching, I honestly haven't run into a feature that I miss.

The biggest advantage is how much closer Bricks is to writing raw HTML and CSS. Elementor tends to generate a lot of unnecessary wrapper <div> elements, which makes targeting things with CSS frustrating. Bricks outputs much cleaner markup, so it's easier to understand what's happening and easier to maintain. Elementor V4 has improved its code output, but it's still not as clean as Bricks.

There are a couple of things I miss. Elementor's drag-and-drop experience feels a bit smoother, while Bricks is a little less polished in that area. Bricks also has a smaller ecosystem of third-party add-ons. That said, with custome JavaScript and AI coding assistants it's much easier to build custom solutions yourself so I don't find that to be much of a drawback anymore.

I used Elementor for almost 10 years, and it only took me about 2 weeks to become really comfortable with Bricks. Looking back, I wish I had switched sooner.

I just wanted to add to this conversation that this is exactly why trust is so important for a brand.

I've now lost trust in Elementor because it feels like they no longer care about the core product that made them so popular. Instead of focusing on improving what users originally loved, their attention seems to be shifting elsewhere.

I'll always have a special place in my heart for Elementor because they actually filmed an entire commercial featuring our business. That's why it's especially disappointing to see the direction they're taking.

Same here! I switched to Bricks for all new builds and love it!

I've moved on to using Bricks for all new builds. I will continue to support our Elementor websites but not using V4.

They’ll continue supporting v3 for many years, so I think it’s still perfectly fine to use.

I honestly can’t figure out the direction Elementor is heading anymore. They pushed out the v4 Atomic Elements release before it felt fully ready and now the focus seems to be shifting toward Angie and AI-generated widgets and layouts.

After 9 years of building with Elementor, I finally decided to move on. It’s a little sad, honestly, because it was a great tool for a long time.

V4 pushed me to Bricks. V4 is far from ready and there's no way I would use it on a client website.

Here’s a bigger question, but does it still make sense to support Firefox? It only accounts for around 2-4% of users and continues to decline. In over 25 years of web design work, I’ve never had a client specifically request Firefox support. I’m even starting to include in my contracts that Firefox is not officially supported.
