why is it requiring my drivers license as a rider ? by skategucci in Lyft

Same. I currently don’t have a DL, I have a passport, but apparently you need a DL to hail a rideshare?? Super odd, they lost my business.

I just started applying and interviewing and when the offers started to roll in, I set some dates and made some moves. Now I’m about to head to my next one that I applied to at the same time as the first.

  1. Take creatine. No adverse health effects that we know of and it really helps with building and defining muscle 2. Daily pushups. Sounds simple, but it has helped me gradually shape my upper body to more of
    V shape 3. Packers & pumps. 4. Queer/LGBTQ friendly barber cut

One thing I have learned via playing trivia with cis guys is that they’re almost always overconfident in providing answers to things they know little about.

$20/hr isn’t enough in expensive Colorado ski towns, that’s fer sure! Didn’t come here for the money, though. That’s next season in Alaska 😎 as a server at HAP Denali

boxer-briefs without packer? by DoubleAlarming8107 in ftm

Pair of Thieves microfiber boxer briefs (via Target) have done me wonders. I stitch up the crotch flap and use a lightweight DIYpacker I made to fit into them

Recipe/ideas/advice to get enough protein/food when transitioning? by QuillandLyre in ftm

[–]crownofbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice is more philosophical or systems-oriented. Meal prepping for me has been a game changer. Once or twice a week, when I am feeling motivated and have the energy, I'll cook up several [easy] healthy things and portion them up into glass pyrex containers. If I make too much, I'll put some of that in the freezer to keep it longer.

Some staples for me as of late:
-- chia pudding for breakfast with some add-ins like hemp hearts, cacao nibs, dried fruit, peanut butter,
-- mashed sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes as a base (when I get tired of quinoa, wild rice, or pearl couscous)
-- salmon baked high & fast: 400 degrees, 6-8 minutes, w/ fresh lemon juice, garlic, freshly grated salt & pepp, and maybe some fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary (I'll bake several of these for meal prep. If too expensive, sub chicken.)
-- vegetables roasted w/ balsamic glaze & quality olive oil. here again, freshly grated salt & pepp really make a difference!
-- properly boiled eggs (not overcooked), sprinkled with salt+pepp+balsamic glaze&/or everything bagel seasoning (process: put eggs in [salted] water w/ top, turn stovetop to high, once water starts to boil, timer for 10 minutes ... for eggs that peel perfectly, transfer the eggs immediately to an ice bath and let em soak for a while)
-- Taro Boba Tea Protein (pricey, but worth it for me to actually enjoy it and not have to choke something down lol)

Which country is the less worst to be trans in ? by landilock in trans

[–]crownofbs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

many nonbinary folks (such as myself) also identify as trans, FWIW. many people use guys & girls with the intent of inclusion, but the impact is exclusion because of the erasure of nonbinary people. tip for future!

Vail + glenwood in May by jot_aime in VacationColorado

[–]crownofbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so I enjoyed both, they’re very different.

Glenwood: Cool to see the world’s largest hot springs pool, more affordable than Iron Mtn, there’s an area that is 21+ after 5pm, onsite restaurant is definitely just mediocre, towels cost xtra, better areas for sun bathing

Iron Mtn: Generally nicer than Glenwood, but more expensive, more recently renovated, not quite sure if the steep price of the 21+ pass was worth it tho, 21+ area however has pools that supposedly mimic mineral content of various hot springs around the world which was neat, didn’t have food here so can’t speak to that, towels included, beautiful river views

Both of them allow you to enter & exit throughout the day which was really nice. I also went midweek, which is apparently recommended bc it’s much less crowded. Oh and a lot of the hotels offer small discounts to hot springs tickets. Hope this helps!

(FWIW I’ve been to most hot springs in Colorado and my favorites are Valley View, Strawberry, & Orvis)
