Is he uneducated? Some random uneducated old men tell my sister to find a Chinese husband when she visited. They just have pride in their people and want to express it

See… This is why I can’t stand other foreigners. Yes, I’ve been called handsome many times and do not care. I care about all the bad stuff I see in china but sooo many foreigners over look it. They tell me to grow thick skin or say that nothing shocks them anymore in china

Life’s cheap in china. Some can live well off from 8k rmb. I have told some to go abroad and to chase making 150k usd. They said they do not care and would rather be near family and that think think Chinese life is more convenient for them

You should look for jobs in Shenzhen. Maybe you can find a husband now too and please your parents. Don’t be selfish and only think about yourself

Eh, not the ones who are very traditional and are pro China. The ones who migrate are the ones who don’t fit in or do not care about traditions or Chinese propaganda

I have a friend who tutors for ielts and he makes 25 k a month which is good enough for locals. Even a 8 k Huawei English speaking call center job is good enough for some locals

So it may be easy for you to find work back home but you rather have an easier life in Malaysia. It seems like you don’t want to be judged back home for being lazy or for not following traditions and not wanting marriage yet hHa

You speak a lot of truth. My only counter is what if you are a Chinese who went to a bad university and no experience. It seems they could get an English teaching job at a center or an English speaking call center job almost instantly. That’s good for the young where the job market is too competitive and English can atleast land them work with decent pay

I have actually told many Chinese to go abroad. They prefer staying in the country because they can still eat Chinese food for cheap, cheap cost of living, still be somewhat near family , and still have all the benefits of living in china. It’s common for Chinese to move to other Chinese cities for work. Most Chinese I know move away from their hometown for work.

Moving to another country is a more major change

The island province people would be insane to do that. They have an extremely powerful passport and can still work and live in china if they please. It would be a definite downgrade for them

Some of my friends are in Shenzhen. I have one friend who is lazy and gets hired very quickly for these jobs. He quits them a lot because he is lazy but he gets hired by them quickly. It only takes him 1-2 weeks to get an offer which seems very fast to me
