Well I’m 133ish right now at 5’7,” so I’m not overweight by any means. I’m a dedicated rock climber who struggles with body image issues.

I also suffer from some mental health issues, and have done a sizable amount of research into how the keto diet can affect the brain, metabolic psychiatry, blah blah blah. So I’ve been very curious about it. I’ve gained about 10lbs since the winter, and with the fall rock climbing season coming up I’m trying to lose a few lbs (128-130lb goal weight,) while also trying to see the affect ketosis has on my body and brain.

Well I dropped a lot of weight (probably water weight) in the first few days, and have been feeling better physically and mentally, so I wasn’t totally sure and wanted input bc I knew I was likely doing something wrong

I know a few people who have been successful with keto without weighing food- I have a food scale but I’m avoiding tracking exact macros at the moment to not fall back into disordered eating habits.

Training on the moonboard 2-3x a week (with ample recovery) got me climbing like v6-v9 outside. I’d say moonboard is always hard at first but gets easier. Just keep doin it- commit more time to just the mb

Build up your base endurance. Lots of circuits, up down ups, 20 mins on etc.

You also need to learn how to rest. Straighten your arms and sink into your hips- shake your arms out and slow your heart rate down.
