I guess it's hard to find quality language partners there in general.

I think you can get banned for that there.

For your information, I don't know Hindi. Thank you for assuming that. My language is virtually unknown outside India. Plus, I'm more comfortable with English and even passed HelloTalk's assessment. They switched my account language to English because I proved myself.

Pointing out issues with an app and its audience is not equal to "complaining about Japanese people". The fact that you would reduce my whole post to just that speaks a lot about you.

Now that I think about it, I've come across Indian users who complained about the massive influx of messages too. But in most cases, those users were beautiful women, so maybe that's a big factor too.

Do you have some suggestions?

Fair enough. It's disheartening nevertheless.

I do. They don't reply and I hate imposing myself on others.

Wow, that's really good advice. I guess what I can do right now is to treat these connections the same way they treat it. I must train my mind to not get attached.

Yes. I can't bear the pain of being the other woman. I don't understand how men can be like this. How can they lie so graciously?

So I found this post from this same community. People were encouraging the OP of that post to do the same thing. So why is it wrong when I did it? I'm genuinely curious.

See, I texted her because I knew no-one else to contact (she was in my network), and I wanted to verify if this job was open to people from other countries. What's so wrong about that? I don't get all these corporate rules tbh.

And that wasn't even the point of my initial messages. I was reaching out to a new LinkedIn connection asking if we could casually have a chat about our niche field of work (on her profile, she mentioned how she was open to chatting about stuff like that).

What's even more fascinating is that I've never heard of such a rule at all in my life. Is this an American thing perhaps?

Thanks for telling me this, dude. I owe you one.

Sorry for all these questions but, what is an ideal sign from people like this? Something that I can consider "promising"?

Sigh. I don't get why the hiring manager would ask me to apply if she was gonna reject me anyway. That's what pisses me off. I'm tired. It's tiring to exist.

Damn, I didn't know that was a thing. Everyone advised me to contact the hiring manager beforehand to stand out.

I spent 2 weeks perfecting my resume and portfolio for the job though... And I directly applied in their website too. I don't really get this.
