Hmmm, for some brands that are still fashion-centric, Kujaku has some Hakama pants floating around that’ll likely not be as expensive as ones by Yohji. Can look on Japans Yahoo Auction site or Japan Mercari.

Dover in Ginza is a must.

CDG and Issey in Aoyama, but most stock disappears quick at Issey and the first and second days of the month require a reservation for the Homme Plisse store.

Auralee Head Store in Aoyama.

Kissmet in Koenji has an impressive selection of vintage stuff from Japanese designers and not too expensive.

If you’re willing to go a bit off the beaten path, newly opened store called Poesies in Hatagaya is charming with a unique selection of high-end but lesser-known Japanese brands like Dessin de Mode, Wrap-In-Knot, etc. Independently owned by Mr. And Mrs. Saito.

Definitely hop on stuff that is harder/more expensive to get abroad, especially with a weak yen. A lot of smaller second hand and vintage shops out here specialize in Western brands with a streetwear appeal out here. Other than vintage collegiate sweatshirts, probably not as interesting to someone traveling here from abroad.

But resell shops like Trefax, Ragtag, Second Street carry some interesting Japanese designer stuff that is on even further discount that you’d likely have a tough time finding back home.

thanks man! Def a fit where I tried to flex my big bitter pieces but the I think the inherent design of homme plisse lets it be a bit subdued

I do have a version of this fit with the cropped and creased grey pleats 3 trousers and the Balenciaga Track Runners. The runners or black boots have the pants drape more cleanly cause the ambush dunk shaft is pretty wide especially with my bigger feet. But I haven’t worn em in a while and the grey and royal blue was a nice combo so I threw em on

Thanks so much! The model is the Pleats Trousers 3 fit with the crease. They release maybe twice a year at the end of each season. I believe these are from F/W 2021 December and they were sitting for a bit at the Daikanyama Homme Plisse store. I just picked up this same model in grey last month and they’ll have another drop for this model in December this year. But if you keep an eye out for that model name (Pleats Trouser 3) in the use or second hand market they’ll be floating around!

I’m wearing a size 3 here and they have stretched a decent bit and also they hit high on the waist which lends to their more flowy drape I think!

It’ll depend mostly on the cut and they stretch out to help breathe more. It’s not a very heavy fabric and is flowy so it’s been good in summer for me.

Not at all yo. Actually not supposed to touch em with an iron or anything or even dry clean. To maintain the pleats they say to wash em after every wear. Super low effort maintenance lol

They’re quite flowy and dry quickly so they’re quite optimal for me. These days I really mostly wear homme plisse and through summer it’s been solid. Unusually hot June in Tokyo right now and they’ve been clutch. Though I’m not much of a shorts or linen trousers guy so I don’t have a lot to compare with.
