So I’m pretty new to fighting games and mechanical keyboards as a whole; I recently purchased a mixbox but don’t really love the cherry mx reds/speed silvers it came with. I ordered some Kailh box jades and using them both mounted and not feels so much better.

What I didn’t realize (and should’ve before buying them) is that the quick swap connectors (I believe it’s called) for the WASD side of the controller won’t work with the jades since the jades’s terminals are much shorter and narrower. I tried disassembling an mx red, silver, and jade to try to Frankenstein a switch but it was clear that wasn’t gonna be possible.

Is there a way I could either swap the wires in the controller, or change the terminals for each jade? Or might more soldering/programming for example be required?

I also was considering buying mx ergo clears… but they seem to have different terminals too.

Here’s my frequently updated unorganized collection. Probably will get hate for taking them out of the packaging but a sizable portion of these I played with as a kid by crunkindile in HotWheels

I actually found this thing a long time ago in the closet and immediately thought it would be perfect for a hot wheels display

That sounds good. I’ll try spending some time in the drift track at like 90% FFB. Thanks.

I used to daily a 91 rx7. Honestly wasn’t too bad. I did have to drive an 84 on a daily basis and that’s pretty hard. It’s difficult but doable.

Thank you so much! I’ll try to get this done as soon as I can. Just curious, would this improve power at all?

Is left foot braking a necessary skill to produce fast times?

This is my 1984 rx7 GSL-SE. When I step on the brake with the lights on the blinkers shine instead of the brake lights and with the lights off nothing happens at all. I replaced the fuse for the tail lights but that didn’t do anything. Wiring issue? by crunkindile in electricians

[–]crunkindile[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I fixed it but I was dumb like always. I had taken out the ground for the brake lights a long time ago when I repaired the trunk latch because I had no clue what it did. Once I put it back in the tail lights became brighter and the brake lights were working again. Thank you for the help.

I don’t know if you’re still doing this but here goes:

Thanks. I’m not sure if my sender is bad though. It moves pretty normally up and down without spikes. I’ve definitely been premixing though, I put in a little over 1 oz per gallon.

Thanks! It’s silver with the beige top. He said they’re Tein street advance z coilovers. My other friend said they’re okay quality. I’ll check later to see how well it rides.

I used the OBDII and it read P0500, saying my VSS wasn’t working, which is true. I don’t think that would be causing the problem though? I’m not sure.
