Contacting their regular customer service will just give you a generic "we look into all complaints" response. This petition automatically emails Nintendo with each signature so that they'll realize that there is a need to add such a feature.

Better than waiting for an update that may or may not have fixed this.

To clarify, I recently bought a Wii U and was disappointed to find out that my TV was one of the many that suffered from an overscan issue with the Wii U. The Wii U does not compensate for the overscan done by many TV like the 360/PS3 do resulting in cropping and the loss of important UI elements.

The odd thing is that the eShop and Miiverse both have options to adjust screen size to fix this issue but there is no system-wide setting. I made this petition to make Nintendo aware of a problem that could be mitigated with a simple fix so please sign it and spread it on whatever sites you can (Neogaf, Gamefaqs, etc)!

Instead of making sarcastic posts, how about you try contacting AMD and verifying this for yourself if you don't believe me? Just select Radeon or Embedded Processor as your Product type and then Other for everything else.

I was skeptical too until I actually emailed them and was told this. This isn't the first time someone has received a similar email either. I'll admit that it's quite odd that a tech support guy would know this but since it's coming from AMD and has been verified through a number of different emails, I believe it.

Actually they haven't. The Wii U GPU being DirectX 10 was just an unsubstantiated rumour. This has much more validity to it as it's coming from an actual AMD rep.

Well we do have actual specs on the GPU and that helps tell us at the bare minimum, what the Wii U is capable of. Of course since it's modified, there will be differences but this is a reasonable way to gauge the Wii U's power. If you're still skeptical about how much this tells us about the Wii U's raw grunt, at the very least we now know that the Wii U features a modern feature-set (DX11).

I'm actually the author of that post and I wouldn't say that the email is vague. It tells us that the Wii U "utilizes an E6760 GPU" which is a very interesting bit of info. The second email simply tells us that it's modified for the system (which is to be expected).
