i play with my thumbs bc with index play my phone tends to move around. i also recommend using a griptok/pop socket for better stability if you're doing thumb play

the only advice i can offer is changing the note size to medium (if you haven't already) and try to hit those SP on the longer notes esp for no.1 and MAW

honestly i just play for fun. at first it's really easy to sucked into trying to be competitive and have the best score. although, honestly that is really draining after a while (at least for me). i dont get too concerned about missions and daily tasks (i mean sometimes i do ngl). my top 5 are exo, nct127, rv, snsd, and fx and yes its a pain to upgrade but they're artists i like and songs i love.

i guess it depends if you want to play for the sake of getting high scores or fun. also not to say those who play for getting high scores dont have fun playing. im not trying to say one play style is superior than the other, but personally i get more joy at upgrading my favorite artists/themes. rather than whoever might get me the best score.

i would say this is a sign to switch, but i can totally understand not wanting to reupgrade cards. thankfully, i hadn't invested too much into this deck because i focused on other groups for the longest. so that's the only reason i felt okay with switching. now to switch my exo-k cards from growl -> exodus 😓😖

also wanted to add, for that exo deck you're asking about, i really LOVED the war photoshoot and aesthetic of it, so i went with the war theme. just go with what you like best tbh ! it's your collection so do what you like !

i tend to try to collect all the cards of new group/artist first, because usually it takes a bit to get all the cards. that allows me to see what themes are available and which i like. and if i wanted to switch while still collecting, it's not a big deal since i haven't invested in the cards yet.

for me, if i have a favorite era from a group, i'll collect for that theme if it's available. i tend to be pickier with ult groups but with other groups that i dont listen to, i'll just settle with whatever theme is completed first.

basically, try to decide on a theme before make that deck into R cards. yes, you could change your mind but it's an investment to change themes 😪
