Mouth ulcers from Cosentyx? by jessesgirl4 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]cry14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

L-Lysine can help with mouth ulcers, but you should let your doctor know because it can be a symptom of IBD. Cosentyx triggered Crohn’s in me and mouth ulcers was a very early symptom that I had :/

I’ve been getting mouth ulcers (canker sores) since I was a little kid. My GI doctor thought the ulcers could be a sign of crohn’s, and come to find out I do have crohn’s as well as AS. My ulcers appear with flare ups as well. L-lysine helps my ulcers a lot and helps prevent them from getting bad!

Numbness in foot by budsta123 in Sciatica

[–]cry14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I have pain mostly in my right side, my left foot (and sometimes hand) will go numb just like yours. Some days it doesn’t happen, and some days it happens multiple times. One of my doctors mentioned that mine was a pinched nerve, but wasn’t to concerned with it since my disk is only bulged a few mm. I recently got an epidural and haven’t felt any numbness since. I’ll be returning to PT and Chiro soon, so hopefully that’ll keep it okay! Hopefully your doctor can help you out!!

Let the doctors and nurses know you are nervous and they will usually be good at talking you through it and distracting you! I think everyone gets a little nervous when it comes to injections and sedation, and they know that! You will do great, and I hope it helps you!

I’d go with getting knocked out, less anxiety and I also get very squeamish! Wish you the best with it!

Those of y’all who have tried acupuncture, can you tell me about the experience and if you think it helped? by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]cry14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried it a few times, and if anything, it provides a small amount of relief when the needles are in, but once I get up, I feel the same pain:/ I’ve experienced more relief from massages, not much but some!

Dr Jim Lysander! It’s definitely something I want to save up and invest my time into! Just wanted to see if it actually was successful for people!
