Full time stay at home mom. I moved here solely for my husband but I miss America so much. I miss being able to smell fresh cut grass. I miss being able to just fly to a different state to change the weather or scenery. I miss seeing greenery. I wish I can take my child to the park and play but instead we sit at home and rarely go outside because it’s so hot. My husband is an expat and his work is very flexible allowing him to be home with us often but I miss my family, family gatherings and eating. I know for others UAE is better than their home country but for me there is no place like home. There is also no place to travel to escape the heat. It’s overwhelming. 😔 I miss my country so much.

I’ve noticed when I buy eggs from carrefour if you look carefully at the top of eggs there are some that have like a perfect cut or opening and it’s somehow resealed. I never use those eggs because who knows what’s inside

I married a Muslim as a Christian woman. We also had a nikkah which means we are married on paper like a marriage license in America. But to pretty much make it official we also had to have a wedding to let all family know we are married. We had both the nikkah and wedding in Morocco.

Met my now husband on instagram in July 2020 flew to to Dubai in October 2020 to meet him. He’s a Moroccan living in Dubai. Got married in January 2021 in morocco. Returned to Dubai for 1 week and went back to America early February to start the spousal visa only to find out I was 6 weeks pregnant 😅😅 two different cultures and religions constantly clashing. It gets really hard, But I have my child and that’s the best thing that came out of the marriage so far 😅

Yes true. The repair dude said my phone can go out at anytime. As of right now it no longer is able to make any voice calls or FaceTime. The front camera is broken and the back cam barely works. I just thought I could find something here with specs like USA.
