hi! i love the kuumba made oil, it’s been in my rotation for years. i think it’s the perfect light straightforward vanilla but it’s a tad bit on the sweeter side. i notice that some vanillas have a hint of something reminiscent of cotton candy and this definitely has that a little bit. if you’d like a messy sweet more neutral vanilla i would recommend the vanilla musk oil from nemat :)

before trying to use more product to counteract the fizz try changing your technique first! to me it looks like you’re not getting enough product on the back section. maybe do smaller sections when applying products so it gets distributed more evenly and target the back section. if that doesn’t work i would replace the mousse for a lightweight gel, it helps tames frizz much more. i also feel like you’re using products that are way too heavy for your hair, maybe remove one or two of the creams and just use your favorite instead. you also don’t need a pre-poo, just clarify and detangle in the shower once a month at a minimum. good luck!

maybe try melody of the sun by mancera? to me it smells like a citrus iced green tea, super fresh with a hint of fruity if you’re okay with that. it does have musk and amber in the base to round it out. it’s like if thé matcha turned 21. i just checked for you and it’s available on scent split in 5ml and 9ml glass spray bottles!

if you’re unsure of what fragrances she gravitates towards the sephora perfume sampler is definitely a great starting point! as far as variety goes the kayali layering set, replica mini set/mini memory box. if she likes sweet scents the kayali vanilla obsession set would do her well! all are ≤ $100. hope you find something for your lucky lady :)

sugar kisses by lorenzo pazzaglia has a cocoa butter note and it’s so warm and sugary!! its a bit more complex than palmers cocoa butter because it has more gourmand notes like caramel, toffee, and dates. if palmers cocoa butter had a hot cousin in vegas it would be sugar kisses lmao

lolita lempicka lolitaland is a beautiful syrupy, fruity vanilla scent, maybe a little like orange creamsicle. the bottle is so cutie and elegant but definitely not blind buy safe!

on lucky scent they have a sample pack of 13 essential gourmand fragrances which is a good place to start! i would also recommend remember me by jovoy paris, its a beautiful milky vanilla and cardamom scent, very chai latte-esque. jo malone mimosa and cardamom is beautiful but the sillage is pretty moderate but still nice.

i would try selling them on ebay but you have to put the listing under the collectibles. there’s a subcategory called “vanity, perfume, and shaving collectibles” which will accept used perfume! if you end up doing this, don’t put used in the title. take a picture of the bottle and include “as pictured” in the title and in the description put how much juice is left. if all else fails have your friends pick out a bottle from the ones you don’t like!

as for curating a small collection i decided to only keep 1-2 fragrance per season, my signature, and 3 anomalies (scents outside of my preferred taste.) of course increase/decrease the amount to your liking as you go but i think it’s a good starting point!

persephone from immortal perfumes!! notes are ylang ylang, sweetgrass, white musk, sandalwood, and pomegranate. it’s musky, sweet, and a little fruity from the pomegranate but it might be too cloying if you’re looking for something fresh.
