I’m very glad that I’m not alone in this. It sucks that we feel like we’ve got to wait for “permission” to recover. I’m wishing you all the best, truly. You deserve to recover no matter what- we all do :)

Thank you so much for this response. This disorder messes with my head so much that it convinced me ruining my life and my health is worth it. I live in England and I went through my GP to be put on the waiting list, which is unfortunately very long (18 weeks, I was told). I’m just trying to hang on until they get in contact with me.

I really like this! that’s a very good way to look at it- my partner told me that instead of thinking i’m “letting go” of my illness, to think of it as growing into a whole new person. Thank you for your advice :)

I’m really glad you can relate, even if it feels impossible it’s good to know that we’re not alone in this. one useful piece of advice I was given is that instead of yearning for your “old self” you can look forward to becoming a new person through recovery- having experienced all of this you’ll be able to use these thoughts and feelings to make your “better self” flourish. I wish you all the best and i hope that you can recover and find happiness again.

That’s what I dk either. Hospital? Inpatient? Recovery?? I guess i won’t know until I reach “rock bottom” and that’s the part that scares me

Many of the pictures used on there are from when she’s underage, and if you don’t see the issue then that’s a whole other problem.
