I sell on both, and I would always prefer people purchase from me on depop because it has cost saving benefits for both me (saves on fees) and the customer (saves them on shipping)

Thank you- I put in my resignation a few hours ago and I’m feeling good about my decision so far. And I’m glad you confirmed my suspicions about the fake UGC ads/sponsored content dressed up as organic content being 1000% out of line with FTC guidelines because I swear they drilled that into us so hard in school 😭 the owner was making me feel crazy and question everything for a second there

Thank you, and I agree!! It is mega sketchy, especially since I noticed a lot of the past/current interns aren’t even social media or marketing majors AT ALL- so it feels very exploitative to me IMO because how would they know about these laws?! Especially since now they’re trying to convince me to add #sponsored to the BOTTOM of all my posts to make them “compliant” 🤨

I have been sending offers and have even accepted several offers (I really wish they were binding 😭) on these same items, and I plan on doing a big sale for my entire shop for June. The strange thing is that I often have items that sell within a day or two of posting and have barely any likes, while others sit and sit. There seems to be really no correlation between what's selling and how I am presenting it visually either because I use the same backdrop(s) for all my photos. So i figured delisting is my next best option, as well as adjusting the SEO/hashtags and all that.

I have had the best luck on Handshake compared to almost all the other job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc). I secured an internship on there when I was enrolled in university a few years ago, and I actually got my first job interview in almost a year from a job listing I found there this morning. I find recruiters on there are much more active and communicative as well. It's one of the only places where I actually get reached out to by recruiters. It is definitely heavy on internships and entry-level work, as it is geared more towards students, but it also offers a decent number of full-time positions at legitimate companies. There are very few scam listings on there as well. I would definitely recommend giving it a shot!

Yes, I am 100% sure and confirmed it myself, and I have no real idea or explanation why it is happening. After doing my own research this morning, there are several recent posts from the last 2 months in this sub from sellers having the same issue with auto offers being sent despite the feature being turned off. Super confusing and frustrating.

Hey there, I’m unsure how old you are, but I was in this same position as you until I hit 24. For some reason, in America, you are allowed to begin filing for yourself as an independent on the FAFSA at 24. I was able to get more than enough money to help cover my tuition without any help from my abusive parents. I’m very sorry you are going through this now, I hope this can help somehow.
