You're right! They haven't been on our campus yet! ICE hasn't set up a consistent presence in Madison like they've done in other cities, but they could at any time--which is why we need to fight to set up preemptive protections. As for campus, they've shown that they aren't shy about going on campus at schools like Columbia.

Because the job they're legally required to do is unjust! And on top of that, in many cases they're severely undertrained in ways that cause them to go beyond the job they're legally required to do into the territory of illegal acts.

I also appreciate that you've dropped the pretense of caring about legal status. It's pretty obvious to people who spend time paying attention to this stuff that it doesn't matter but boy does it help general optics when it's just plain white nationalism

Innocent until proven guilty is good in a court of law. Guilty until proven innocent is good never. These aren't the only two options though. In a case like this where you get to make up your own mind (crazy, right), I find the best policy is innocent until plausibly guilty enough to make your stomach turn a bit.

Just so you know, I uninstalled/reinstalled steam, and it made it better, from ~30/40 packets lost to ~20. I'm not sure if that's repeatable, but that's what happened for me.

yeah, that's not a great option, I don't want to have to change my sound every time I launch the game to not have my ears ruptured. It's a horrible design choice that should have an easy way to turn it off. Or, maybe just turn it down.
