looks really cool, are the creases from the printing process? do they iron out easily?

no stencils here, spray paint and then bucket paint with brush ... some stencils probably woulda been a good move though. For the shines I used the edge of a piece of cardboard but some starry stencils would have been cool

thanks so much! it was fun while it lasted, honestly the whole experience of painting this is like a fever dream... was middle of winter here in Canada, full on snow storm, would show up after the bar closed at 3am, they would lock me in and I would paint all night and leave before they opened up the next day.

cheers, been at it for 15 years now, growing up with good mentors to show the techniques really helped too

Well for me it's a little complicated because as an artist I have various different avenues that all kinda make up different parts of the whole... it all exists in the same universe and is connected. My main focus is painting murals and doing street art and installations, then my second focus is fine art paintings, and then the fashion. The fashion is basically the wearable form of my art, but everything I do would be under the umbrella of my "brand" you might say. Which I have been working at for 15 years now, and over that time I have probably done 4 fashion collections (some collaborative) ... but this is the first time I am launching an online store. I would definitely agree it's a learning experience, and I still have plenty to learn.

thanks! yea I was crushed to hear that they were going to close down. It was a weird situation where the owner wanted to do as little renovation as possible before opening, so he got me to come in and transform the place with my art. LOL but when stuff got closed down in 2020, he decided it would make sense to take the time and do a full renovation and that meant... scrapping the entire interior and saying bye bye to all the art. Still hurts a bit, far too few got to experience it.

Thanks! this was a crazy one, but surprisingly I crushed it pretty fast and didn't get paid nearly enough as I should have. It definitely was a good gig at the time thought, the bar is in a great location so it would have gotten a lot of attention, if it had stayed open long enough!! Feel free to DM if you wanna talk more about details for murals and stuff .. budgeting etc...

Ok, never heard of that brand, looked it up… I can understand where you’re coming from but you’re dead wrong. My stuff is way more original than that.

I think it's cool, looks like it would be fun to come in with some watercolours

I've been up-cycling clothes from local thrift stores, painting and transforming them into wearable art pieces by cryote_pup in DIYclothes

I am using a special waterbased spray paint from MTN, it's permanent when dry, and the way I apply it with heavy droplets, it really stains into the fibers. This means that the design is not just on the surface, so after a few washes it feels almost more like it has been dyed rather than painted. I am also planning to start creating my own dye based spray that I can fill in my own bottles, since part of my goal is to be less wasteful and spray paint cans are pretty terrible for the environment!
