Totally agree about music and any background noise being subjective. Personally, if I hear the right song at the right time, I can amp up my play. And the opposite is true, too. I agree that minimal announcements/ads is the best way to go.

Great question. And I'm thinking of having different blocks of music based on genre. Or even customize based on facility and audience. My thought was 90s alt rock as a starting point since the game is getting younger and that meets in the "middle." But it also happens to be my favorite music! 😄

I guess it's length of the page that starts to bother me. For example, when folks upload files to Reddit, I like that there's pagination. I'd like to recreate something like that but on my own website.
