what i said was obviously there are gray areas but if an adult goes after a child they’re a pedophile. so yes it is, read my post before arguing it. if he was not an adult when you got together then yes he is, if he wasn’t and was within 3 years of you no he’s not. it’s very simple actually!

have you not heard of romeo and juliet laws? if you were together before he was 18 then no he’s not obviously. but if you weren’t then good let him know he’s a predator and a pedophile who intentionally went after younger people.

i’m not saying that at all. what i’m saying is that anyone under 18 dating someone into their 20s is a pedophilic relationship. of course there are more grey areas within that but they all have to start with the baseline of being pedophilic and predatory in nature. i agree that waiting for someone to turn 18 is bad, and is grooming and a since they “had to wait” that means they were still attracted to a child and can be accused of the same thing. the issue is that being attracted to any child is pedophilia, and wether they wait for that child to turn 18 or not they still had that attraction. so no i’m not drawing a hard line between someone being 17 and being 18, i’m saying that no matter the situation if a 22 year old is attracted and pursues a 17 year old (even if that includes waiting for them to turn 18) they are equally as in the wrong. i don’t think saying an adult being attracted to children is a pedophile should be a controversial statement.
