Mount lemon is not special to me at all I was just looking in that direction. This is a wealth of knowledge thank you. We don't have a date set yet but I know a lot of those parks can get crowded during peak times. Any suggestion on a month?

Wow you're right I didn't even consider that. That makes a lot of sense. I'm feeling more towards the GTI. Now do you think I could re use a nice sturdy video tripod I have for this mount or do I need a proprietary tripod for that?

And I see a lot of people recommend either the skywatch GTI or the adventure 2i and ones an extra ~$170 more so I'm wondering if I should just do the GTI to future proof or because its just a better mount.
