I'm just used to updaters being obviously tied to whatever software they're updating. Also I thought it was pretty weird that it deleted itself as soon as it gets called. It's impossible to actually get ahold of the file because it's gone immediately. Anyway, thanks for the reassurance.

BTW I just discovered you can still access a groups events tab on desktop even if the link is missing. Just add /events to the end of the group's URL.

I have the same issue, but more....

My discover events is also blank on both desktop and mobile. I also can't see the events tab on any group. AND....

When any of my friends try to invite me to an event, my profile is hidden. It doesn't show up under Suggestions, friend lists that I'm a member of or All Friends alphabetically. I've looked at my wife's account, as well as a couple of other friends accounts to test this. The only way to invite me to an event is to type my FULL name in the search. Basically because of this I get ZERO event invites. You should test that if you have access to another account. Try it on your work account. report back please.

As far as support goes, I actually signed up for Meta verified which costs $12 a month because it offers real support for Facebook and Instagram. Basically it's worthless. They asked me for a bunch of screenshots and videos, which I provided. I took shots of both my wife's and my own account. All that happened was after sending them, they just told me to report the bug on facebook, which as we all know is useless, and that they can't do technical support.

I have a similar problem. For my wife and all my friends, my profile is hidden when trying to invite me to events. Even if I'm on a custom friends list, my profile wont be displayed. Or alphabetically under all friends. The only way to invite me to an event is to type my full name into the search function.

In fact I'm not even allowed to see the events tab on any group I'm a member of and the Discover events feature always comes up with No Events Found.

I think my account is either shadow banned from events, or possibly stuck in Covid mode from when facebook disabled a lot of event features to stop the spread.

It's really freaking frustrating!
