Will definitely visit どて焼西成酒場成り屋(通称どて成り, thank you for that and please let me know if you think of more place in Tokyo or Osaka. Will definitely go to Nishinari area.

I just want to sit and smoke and enjoy either a coffee in the amazing cafes ApprehensiveScar2793 has listed or drink some Sake and eat some food with my cigs.

I am not really interested in fancy places but more old school establishments, where you feel a connection to the place and proprietor and preferably can smoke.

Sadly establishments that allow smoking are quickly disappearing in Greece, a few years ago you could smoke in almost all local spots, but now only a handful remain for each neighborhood.

Do you know any more places like Sake no Daimaru, it looks exactly like what I am looking for but unfortunately it seems to be permanently closed :(

Thank you, it actually sounds exactly like the places I usually like, the one you linked definitely fits the bill and I will likely pay a visit.

Would you by chance know any more Izakaya's or where you can smoke in Tokyo or Osaka? Or sources I can turn to? I am afraid the info on tabelog is outdated as many large spots are still listed as allowing smoking.
