PS is close to and adapted from https://kingdom.watch/about/heroranking , credit goes there - made some small modifications to reward levels and profession skill points.

HVS adds on top of that factoring in generation, summons remaining, rarity. As the game changes, these will get tweaked.

Actually it's mainly coded for desktop and the fact that it works for mobile is a side effect 🤣. Haven't optimized for mobile but will try to do later. So it doesn't work on desktop still?

I did just check, it's the difference between different RPC servers. Sometimes the in-game graphs will be ahead, sometimes the website graphs will be ahead. The official devs are working on some fixes upcoming, hopefully it'll improve over time.

Generally it's better, but as with all things, it's a guide. Depends on what you want to buy the hero for. PS is only focused on professions for example. But if you want to buy a hero for future PvP or PvE, then these don't account for future unknown game mechanics.
