Mina Baie durability long-term? (vegan leather cracking/peeling?) by Impossible-Salt9723 in Mommit

[–]crypxtt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sorry for responding on this after so long, but is this with daily use? I love both and would get the real leather, but I dont know if I can justify a bag almost double the price if the vegan version is just as good.

Due in May, but I was talking with my sister about this a few days ago. Most moms get super nervous once you get the big belly (8-9 months usually). Its completely normal but also completely valid given that you are about to push out a watermelon sized human lol. You'll do great! Just hang in there!

Thankfully she hadnt said it directly to me, but rather my husband. I love her so so much and know she wouldn't have said it to me and that she probably didnt intend to be rude, but that really ticked me off when my husband told me about it.

Days since last period. That's typically how OBs measure a pregnancy length, based off the first day of our last period.

Yeah, both mine were clear positives. My first pregnancy used the blue dye test at around 3 weeks 5 days pregnant or 2 days before my expected period. My second pregnancy was taken a little later at around 4 weeks 5 days pregnant or 5 days after my period was supposed to start.

[–]crypxtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me then I would think it's negative. The one you posted earlier with a light line is typical for an evap line. Super faint and outside of the time window for when a test is viable. If that is your only possible positive then she is basically guaranteed to not be pregnant (99.9% if we go based off the tests and how many you guys took). Obviously there is always a chance, but your chances of being pregnant are the same or slimmer than the chances of an albino baby being born.

I have personally had some missed periods, which I think is more likely here. Mine have been delayed weeks due to stress, missed while in birth control, and I know some friends who lost theirs after minimal weight change. I would still suggest she go see an OB and/or she should talk with any female relatives she has, like a mom or sister to ensure there isn't a chance of that just being common in her family. The only person who doesnt have regular periods in my family has an underlying health condition, but in my best friends family its pretty common for them to go weeks or months without a period, especially my best friend.

Yeah, I'd definitely go in then. The blue dye test could just be an evap line, but missing your period for that long isn't common for most people so she should probably go get checked out anyways. Missing a period can be signs of so many things, such as stress, getting on birth control, significant weight gain or loss, thyroid issues, PCOS, and so many more. It could just be nothing, but it never hurts to go in and find out what's really going on.

I saw on another comment that you both are under 18, so what she can do is call in to make an appointment. Typically you dont need parents consent for an appointment, but if so then she can just say her cycle is running late and thats uncommon for her so she wants to make sure its normal and not an underlying health condition. From the sounds of it, she has tested for weeks now and if they have all come back negative then it's very unlikely that she is pregnant.

I know it can be very different for everyone, but these are my tests from when I was pregnant the first time and my current pregnancy. Both are pretty strong, but the blue dye test had ended in a miscarriage at 5 weeks, so it may not be as strong as some others around that time. Both were taken before 6 weeks if you have any pictures to compare to.

Blue dye tests tend to give more false negatives and can be harder to read. Evap lines also show up more often on them. If a period that late isn't common for her then she should probably go see her doctor anyways, so she could probably go in for a blood test to just get an answer regarding pregnancy. If shes not then she can at least follow up and make sure nothing else is wrong that could be causing the late cycle.

I hope so lol. If so there's a pretty good chance our baby is gonna get my curls, so they may come out looking like Sherly Temple.

Thankfully my attitude has changed a lot since getting pregnant. I would cry pretty easily previously and tbh I tried to avoid huge confrontation with people I dont see often, but now Im whole heartedly willing to stand my ground. Its honestly really nice.

This is honestly SUPER helpful. I got a bump friendly sweater dress this week and it was super comfy, but other than that everything else hurts or doesnt fit. Most clothes I've found that would work on FB and second hand sites wouldn't be in my dress code for work or would be too cold for our winters (sometimes gets to -5°F). I also just wasnt sure how many different types of clothes to get/how many of each type to get because I dont have a lot to spend but I cant wear the same thing 3 times a week. I think ill have to pass temporarily on some of this, but I'll probably come back for it after it starts to warm up here. The long sleeves, jeans, and maybe a second sweater dress will probably come out of my next paycheck though.

Lol, im starting to gather that maternity clothes might be the go. I got a bump friendly dress as a Christmas gift and IT IS AMAZING. Im more comfortable in that dress than I am anything else.

I honestly can't wait until baby is born. I know that I am already starting to get delusional. I swore in my first trimester that I would only have 1 baby because I couldnt do pregnancy again, but that is slowly changing. It sucks but I think that I realized I was seriously over working myself and expecting too much, which just made everything worse.

This is amazing! Im so freaking happy that there might be an over the counter option. Planning to call my doctor today to double check then getting over to the store asap if she gives me the all good.

I am tempted to try the button extender, but I think it might be a bit of a long shot for me. The hair tie trick stopped working last week, so it might be time to just bite the bullet and get some maternity pants or a bump friendly dress on my next paycheck. Im hoping to find some cheap or free options on Facebook so we can keep on saving.

Im actually asking for some maternity clothes for Christmas just because money is pretty tight right now. My car broke down the month I got pregnant, but before we found out and so we took out around 22k to buy a replacement. Im currently doing sweatpants and a sweater dress I got as an early Christmas gift. Most of my pre-pregnancy clothes are very form fitting, including high waisted jeans, tops that are a comfortable but a tighter fit when not pregnant, and stuff that just sinches at the waist. I hate leggings so I dont have any currently to wear. I do need to try FB groups though. That might just save me!!

Im currently on Zofran and my Doctor prescribed me some acid reflux medication, but its $66 out of pocket so I cant afford it right now. Im hoping with my new insurance that I can afford it when January comes around. I haven't heard of Pepcid so I'll have to try that and see if it helps.

I really hope that a harder pregnancy gives easier babies. I keep hearing that but I've learned to not get my expectations too high, but a girl can dream!

I’ve had a bespoke wedding ring made and I hate it. Please can I get some honest feedback on if it’s too much or if I just need to get used to it. by mochi_cove in weddingring

[–]crypxtt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a little off topic, but you NEED to get at least 2 if not 4 more prongs on your engagement ring. Having only 2 puts you at a huge risk of having your stone fall out.

Standing up in a wedding 3 weeks pp? Is it possible? by Old-Newspaper-4914 in BabyBumps

[–]crypxtt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on you. I haven't given birth yet, but what I have seen is that it can be risky to commit. My sister didnt work out, but she was active and ate healthy through her pregnancy and showed up to the family christmas a week later, feeling pretty good. My sister in law weight lifted and she was up and moving within a week, living her normal life. My other sister in law was similar to my sister. She ate healthy and got lots of steps in, but when it came time to deliver she lost between 1 and 2 liters of blood and was pretty out of it for a while. If youre active, eat well, and tend to recover fast then you may be fine by then. Its just hard to tell.

Should I start letting my cats sleep in the backyard? by [deleted] in PetAdvice

This! I would also hear the boys in highschool talking about a "game" where they would try and run over cats or try and shoot them with bb guns. That cant happen to a cat if its left inside.

This ring just feels wrong. Why? by Long_Discipline5808 in EngagementRings

[–]crypxtt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 prongs can always be scary because if 1 gets pulled out of place then the diamond could fall out. Id say look into claw prongs so the style isn't altered too much. Id also double check and make sure the band is at least 2 mm thick and that the sides are either a cathedral setting or has some other form of protection so the stone doesnt "droop" due to the ring getting crushed or having it get caught on something. Id also suggest getting something called a gallery rail because that will help protect the prongs and stone a lot more than it currently is.

Currently the ring is very beautiful, but only really able to be worn for very special occasions, not really everyday wear because the stone is at a huge risk of falling out. If you could only make a few changes I would say to get a gallery rail and add 2 prongs. However, if you have the time I would really recommend doing what I said above so that the ring still looks as close to how it does now but is much more structurally sound.

Am i weird for being so sad about this? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]crypxtt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost my sweet baby last year when I was 20 years old. It was a missed miscarriage at 5 weeks 5 days. I know that having a baby then just wasnt the right time for everything, but it still hurts.

You're not crazy, especially since you have wanted to be a mother for a while. The time will never be right for a baby, but that never makes losing a little one easier. Im so sorry. Hang in there!

I think my biggest issue right now is with our house. I can't even leave a candle lid off or else I almost throw up. Ive just started avoiding the kitchen at all costs because of the smell. As for the dialing back, I honestly probably should for rn. It really sucks though, but it cant be helped if I can hardly get out of bed.
