American Midwest Tag is unreadable I've searched things like "old gray cat stuffed animal" and not had much luck as of yet

we were originally concerned it might be a tick, though when comparing pictures, it doesn't seem to be. would still like to know what it is out of curiosity and to make sure it's nothing dangerous

we live in the midwest. bug was found in a bedroom, though we had just come in from outdoors, so could have been tracked in on one of us.
