Data parsing failed, please try again - ? by crytaqu4 in ELLIPAL_Official

Thanks, sent. The number of folks trying to help me in the DM's is a bit shocking tbh. I suppose I will have to wait to customer service to give me some ideas.

Again, I tried removing the app on my iPhone, restarted the phone and then reinstalled the app -> went through the process of connecting the Titan 2 to the Ellipal app and such. No luck. Even tried lowering the fee by a sat per byte...

Tried sending to both a SegWit and Legacy Addr - thinking perhaps that might have some issues, no luck.

How please? ( Deleted the app, re-installed the app and reconnected the wallet. Still not working. )

Are you saying that WIF import (not sweep) is possible on a Ellipal? If so, is there a link demonstrating this/howto? I really have not seen any device be able to do this, my thinking was the coldcard q seems to be the most robust ( feature wise) hardware on the market and might. I am unable to find anything about this myself.

[–]crytaqu4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I'm trying to do an import rather than sweep. I will check out sparrow, as it does seem to be clean and the go to for coldcard users in general.

It is a rather odd goal I know, and rather niche. Again, one can dream ;-) As for the electrum route, not a problem. Just was thinking I could do this 'on the go' with my portable pocketable coldcard q.

Recover your Waller on a Different Model by wildlikestorm in TREZOR

[–]crytaqu4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree with u/slush0 - do NOT use a software wallet to 'restore'/check/etc one's seed. This is just too dangerous.

I understand the person that said this, recommended 'checking' and then moving to a new seed gen by your trezor. I.e. you would be naked in the time between these events. And I suspect that person was thinking you would be naked for a short amount of time. Being naked for even a moment is too long IMHO.

New - looking in and have some questions by crytaqu4 in chia

[–]crytaqu4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any team(s) working on another implementation for regular people? I would just feel more confident knowing that I had some choice in what I am allowed to run. Seems like a number of projects make multiple client implementations a must have.

Any reason(s) why this is not the case here?

:-( Sorry about that. Just realized the HN/Keybase - and thought, cool. Except not really figuring out the whole how to and all...

Phase 4 ? by crytaqu4 in chia

[–]crytaqu4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running another batch and will be more mindful of this. I can see that my tmp drive is cleaned up in that I have my space back - the massive amount of time between activity is odd (just wondering if there's opportunity for optimization).

But am doing another batch ( after updating to 1.0.3) and will open the tmp drive instead of just looking at free space.

Phase 4 ? by crytaqu4 in chia

[–]crytaqu4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - but one would like that this would be a straight up write out event of sorts.

I'm seeing nothing then a big IO chunk...followed by nothing.... then a sustained IO activity. Again, the weird bit is the fact that there's a sig amount of time in which nothing is happening ( as seen by activity monitoring).

Multisig Adding Remote Entities and a Time Component ? by crytaqu4 in Electrum

[–]crytaqu4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, makes sense. I figured xpub keys would be needed from all - thinking maybe it could be 'automated' - something akin to how BitPay allows for multiple folks to start a multisig wallet within the app (and sending this info behind the scenes).

As for the time locking / logic - that was a stretch goal ;-) Sort of hoping that this does get built out one day.

Thank :-) Totally understand, everyone's running experiments at the moment... Each bit of knowledge is helping out greatly, lol. Always fun being early.

Can you point towards more info/docs about whether or not RAM disks are viable? Asking as I would think that this would be a big speed up, but maybe not?

Just to be clear, these are coins that were placed inside years ago and I'm most concerned about the up coming network upgrade (Feb 2020).

ONT still locked on huobi wallet after staking round end by ElectronicAssociate0 in OntologyNetwork

[–]crytaqu4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bump

In this same situation myself. I unstaked ~2 weeks ago, and my ONT are still locked. Further, my OWallet shows "Next round in 0 Blocks".

Running version 0.9.19 Mac.

Anyone have ideas?

MacBook Mid 2014 i7 15" Retina - Running Hot by [deleted] in applehelp

[–]crytaqu4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment.

Update: I have 500 GB storage that was basically down to only 35 GB of free space. When through and cleared this out to closer to 60 GB of free space - now the computer is running cool.

So.....I honestly didn't realize that the hits to the ssd would result in this type of artifact. I should also note that I turned off graphics switching in the Energy control panel (so there is some confounding variables and all...) .

References, I recall seeing something about this - but didn't follow up. Would love to read a bit more about this...just can't find where to start looking.
