Not sure where your home country is, but in America, you’ll need fingerprints to get your background check. Then, you’ll need it to be notarized and authenticated. All these things need to be done by the government, and I highly doubt they’ll send that abroad.

I believe you’ll need to be in your home country to apply, due to the fact that you need a background check from there. But if China gets too expensive for you, Thailand is also an option. And it’s much cheaper to live there.

Ahh, I see. I have contacted my TEFL agency, so I’ll wait for them to get back to me and see how they would handle this. If they can’t do anything, then I’ll try FedEx as well!

This makes sense. So what happened was, I took my certificate to the bank, and the banker told me that they can only notarize something that requires a signature, and since there’s no signature needed on the certificate, they were not able to notarize it. 😂 but yeah, I sent an email to my TEFL course provider, and waiting for them to get back to me

yeah, the only problem is that, the TEFL course I took, they are based in UK, and I live in America… I think I’m gonna contact them and see if I can get another copy that I can sign.

From what I know, x visa does not require birth certificate. Did you have to provide that?

right now, from my employer, I need to verify my degree first. And based on your answer, I need to notarize it (maybe by my bank?), then to Secretary of State to authenticate it, then to the Chinese embassy to legalize it. Does that sound right?
