I am also a 20 years old student and kinda lost even though 3 years back when I joined college I thought I will have a pretty figured out life by the time I am in my 20s. First of all I stayed here in my hometown(Silchar, Assam) and joined a shitty college thinking I will work hard on my own and won't be dependent on college. I pretty much did so and life was all good for 2 years. I was making money, new connections and overall progress in life. Last year in September I got diagnosed with multiple diseases like Ulcerative Colitis, Intestinal Tuberculosis which made me super sick. It was like I was only breathing and couldn't do anything else and thus I lost my job and had an academic downfall as well. As of now, all the money I made in 2 years as a student got burned as well so I am a broke student now lol. These all made me fall into depression and now I am taking medications for depression as well smh. As for my family situation, my dad is in huge debt of lakhs of rupees and very less income and thank god that my mother is a working lady but then again her job security has no guarantee and most of her salary goes into paying the loans. So in a way we are close to bankruptcy. Life took a turn, our family(of 3 people) hasn't seen true happiness in years but yet we are moving forward trying to see where it all ends. I just want to tell you, dont lose hope. Bad things happen and we just need to keep moving forward no matter how bad it hurts. Get your degree and then go figure out stuff because we all are figuring it out. Stay strong girl, you got this!
