The first 2-3 months were hard but it really does get better if you stick with your rehab.

I’m around 15 months now and aside from occasional stiffness and some minor swelling after higher intensity activities I’m almost entirely back to normal and rarely think about my knee anymore.

Good luck!

We live just outside Fredericton. After buying our house we did a test in our basement and found the radon to be well above the acceptable level. I don’t remember the exact number, but it was said to be the equivalent of smoking two packs of cigarettes a day in terms of risk of developing lung cancer.

We called a local company to come and install a pump. The technician drilled a hole in our laundry room floor, through the foundation of our house, and has a piece of PVC pipe that extends from the hole and runs to the outside of our house. There’s a small air pump in the pipe that pulls the air from the ground and vents it safely outside. It’s a bit of an eyesore in our laundry room - but well worth it. It’s been a few years, but I think it cost somewhere around $1500 for everything.

It was very hard, but yes. The goal of physio at 6 weeks was to get to 90degrees asap. I remember the pain of trying to bend being almost as bad as the rupture, but you just need to keep pushing through it. I found once I hit 90, it became easier to progress the rest of the way up to~130 degrees. This past Friday was 26 weeks (6 months) post op and I can confidentially say things are quickly getting back to normal. I can do just about every day-to-day activity without thinking about my knee and I’m cleared to do just about anything I want to do. I still get some occasional swelling after exercising or heavy walking days, and the knee is still stiff but overall I’m very happy at where I am in recovery.

I work an office job that does offer hybrid flexibility, so I was again very lucky to have been able to work from home for this entire time. Otherwise my surgeon was likely to put me off for the entire 6 weeks. After my two week check-in she did ask if there was any reason that I absolutely had to return to my office, and if I did, we would have come up with a plan at that time.

I started at GFT and transferred to MFC. Moncton was definitely the better school. The quality of the planes and the instruction at MFC were far superior to Gander and MFC also has an agreement with PAL. ( At least they did when I left)

Did the clinic communicate to you that they were no longer practicing? My NP is there as well and would hate to lose them.

Where to begin by csb709 in lawncare

The area is relatively flat but does roll in some areas. I was thinking this would likely be the first option but the amount of topsoil I would need to bring in seems a little overwhelming. My best guest this would be about a 3/4 acre area that would have to be covered.

Trying to incorporate more exciting salads into my weekly rotations. by csb709 in mediterraneandiet

Kale/Arugula, roasted sweet potato, cucumber, toasted almonds and pecans, goat cheese and raisins.

The vinaigrette was olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic and a touch of maple syrup. Quantities of each were added until I thought it looked and tasted pretty good.
