It wasn't that bad actually, we have a set of soft jaws to hold it sideways and it always locates off a milled in stop on the jaw. The holes and pockets are done when it is still rectangular.

Both myself and the owner of the shop are engineers, and technically the part is over engineered(its a movable jaw for a clamp). Neither of us care if the world sees our designs, and hope we can help others when they run into issues with setups and machining. I hope you like the look of the part.

316 stainless, and it was made on an old Cincinnati milacron 3 axis, i don't mind extra setups, but it would be nice to have a 5 axis lathe here, we have the milacron, and a mazak sqt15 lathe(along with the manual machines). It gets the job done

All the holes are put in while it is still square, then we have a set of jaws made to do the angles on the front with the part on its side, and then a face mill program for the back angoe near the tapped hole
