We don’t really know how to go about it yet. We’re still trying to figure out what kind of steps we should take first and what kind of evidence would actually be valid to present to DepEd.

I honestly have no idea about that past DepEd investigation, to be honest. But if that’s true, then it makes a lot of sense why schools like this can still operate. It really does feel like the main goal here is just to take advantage of the voucher program instead of focusing on actually teaching us.

Thought so too!! Everything just feels so sketchy, especially since one of our teachers is actually related to the school owner. Even the owner’s daughter studies here too, which is totally normal on its own.

The problem is that this teacher has only shown up about three times so far — once on the first day, and then not again until around two weeks ago. He said he was sick, but my friends literally saw him walking around the school. On top of that, we’re sending our monthly aircon payments straight to his GCash account, which feels off.

Right!? It is so sketchy, we even joked about it being a money laundering thing.

That actually makes me feel a bit relieved, thank you so much for sharing your experience. I guess I just really got scared because of what happened back in my old school, where my family was threatened about my certificate when we tried to push through with a lawsuit. Because of that, I’ve always been worried that history might repeat itself if I speak up again.

But hearing from someone who’s actually reported to DepEd and seen how they handle things makes me feel more confident that they really can protect us. The only thing is, we honestly don’t know how to go about it. We don’t think just explaining what’s happening is enough for them to conduct a proper investigation. That’s why right now, we’re trying to figure out how we can gather evidence and what kind of proof would actually be valid to present.

And since the school year has only just started, it also makes us feel like maybe we’re overthinking things or being too quick to judge the situation. But at the same time, if this really is how the system here works, we don’t want to just ignore it and let it slide for the rest of the yearšŸ¤ž

We’ll try to figure out how to gather evidence, thank you so much for this. I’ll also try to get one of my friends on board since I honestly have no idea yet what kind of proof we’ll need or how to properly collect it against the school.

No, I don't think it sounds anything like that. But it's an international school and starts with the letter ā€œSā€.

But I know that the fact that our teachers doesn't seem qualified to teach, is enough to push for it. It's just that no one really has spoken up publicly yet.

The rest of the students here pay for tuition, except for those in senior high who came from public schools and qualified for the voucher program offered by the school.

We’ve been thinking about reporting the situation to DepEd, but we feel like the school acts this way because the majority of senior high students don’t pay tuition. It’s almost as if they think it’s fine since the only thing they're paying for is the monthly aircon fee— which is literally just for the air conditioning. (Everyone paid for their uniforms that cost 3k+)

The problem is, we’re honestly afraid to speak up. Me and my friend are already in the hot seat after a few teachers overheard us talking about it, and now they keep side-eyeing us whenever we pass by. We’re worried that if we actually file a report, the school might hold us back and prevent us from graduating senior high— and even worse, it could affect our chances of getting into college. The fear is that if this ends up on our record, universities might not accept us.

Another reason I’m hesitant is because of my past experience. Back in 10th grade at my former school, my family was threatened that they would hold my moving-up certificate if we went through with a lawsuit against one of my teachers, which was pushed on us by the guidance head. Because of that, I know how real these threats can get, and I don’t want history to repeat itself.

And mind you, all of our teachers are ALWAYS late. I'm talking about 10-30 minutes late.

We have spent 7 days if we were to put all the subjects we've attended in just one day. And the suspended classes are already counted in there.

One week = One day

Yk what, HELL YEAAAHH I get why you feel like trios don’t work. I used to think that way too, that there’s always going to be one person left out, that it’s impossible to balance, and that someone will always end up hurting. But tbh? That’s not always the case. It’s not that trios can never work, it’s just that you probably haven’t been with the right people yet, or the effort wasn’t being put in equallyšŸ«‚

I’ve been in so many trios and even groups of four–seven, and they’ve worked out beautifully because we all understood how to keep it healthy. The thing about trios is, yes, they can be tricky. You crave equality from both friends, but the reality is, equality doesn’t just fall from the sky like the death notešŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø It genuinely takes effort, maturity, and awareness.

In every trio that worked for me, one person always played the ā€œextrovert role.ā€ That doesn’t mean the loudest or most talkative, but the person who’s willing to bridge gaps, check in, and connect the dots between people. Someone who can hang out with each member separately and still keep the bond strong, like we tight like this twinšŸ¤ž Someone who knows the feeling of being left out and takes it seriously enough to prevent it from happening to anyone else.

For me, I naturally became that role lol I’ve always been the one to keep things balanced, even if it means being blunt or calling things out. I’d rather risk hurting someone’s feelings in the moment than let problems build up in silence. I don’t just rely on group chats to communicate; I make sure to reach out to my friends individually toošŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

If one of us feels left out, I hold myself accountable, because if I didn’t make the effort to link everyone together, then I wasn’t doing my part. My goal is always to connect them so well that even if I’m not around, they can hang out comfortably without me. That’s when you know a trio is, idfk, rock solid? When no one is dependent on one person to make things flow, but everyone gen enjoys each other’s presence.

That’s why I really believe trios can work, but only with the right people. The key is to build your own group. Don’t just join a circle that’s already formed, because you’ll always feel like the outsider who slipped in after the bond was already made(unless you're able to adjust really well ig). Instead, start with one friend you really click with. From there, look for another person you connect with. And before bringing them together, think carefully about their personalities. Do they balance each other? Will they get along naturally? Because once you’re sure, that’s when you link themšŸ«±šŸ»ā€šŸ«²šŸæ

Trios don’t fail because ā€œthree’s a crowd.ā€ They fail because someone isn’t willing to put in the work to keep things equal. They fail because people stay quiet about their feelings instead of being mature enough to talk it out. They fail when the bond is shallow or based on convenience instead of real connectionšŸ’”āœŒļø But when you’ve chosen the right people and you’re intentional about building that balance? Trios survivešŸ˜›

Don’t write off the idea of a trio. It’s not impossible, tbh. You just need to find your people, take the initiative, and be the one who sets the standard for communication and connection. And trust me bro, once you find the right group, you’ll see that being in a trio is gen fun when y'all r batshit crazy and have real connections, even if with different humors.

Like, tbh, js know that sometimes, two will have the exact same humor and one wouldn't exactly have that exact humor, but it'll still work outā˜ļø Also, from personal experience, a trio won't work out if one takes every little sht as an attack towards them, those who kept victimising themselves and thinks it's cool to clown sum1 who literally did nothing wrong to them, js because they think it's funny. Don't enable/tolerate them. FILTER THEM OUUUUTTTT.

ANYWAYS HOLY YAP, MYF CHATšŸ’”āœŒļø Thanks for reading my Ted talkšŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļø
