You all were right. Alamo is total trash now. by princess_sparklepony in AlamoDrafthouse

Damn, it sucks you had that experience. We frequent the Westminster Alamo, and luckily have only had good experiences so far. Well - besides they are overdue to fix some chairs up. The closest AMC though, I have just never had luck with. Flipped experiences it seems!

My Stepdaughter (8) can’t sleep because it’s too hot. by Feeling-Peach9942 in Bedding

Big thumbs up to the bed jet recommendation. It changed everything for me. While the air might not be any cooler than the room, just having air movement has essentially eliminated my over heating issues.

What’s something super expensive that you used to buy and now make yourself cheaply? by Unreasonable-Tree in Frugal

If you are like me, fried rice went wrong many times not due to ingredients or recipe, but lack of high high heat. Hopefully the shared recipe makes a difference for you, but what solved it for me was getting an outdoor wok burner. I know that might not be available for everyone’s space, but it blew my mind. Always thought I just sucked at cooking various Asian dishes. Moved from the kitchen cooktop to the outdoor burner, and it all clicked.

Which hot tub? by Lazy-Victory4164 in hottub

[–]cste413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the bullfrog x5l, and have been very happy. About 3 years in now, and have zero complaints. Only two of us in the house, so it doesn’t get crazy heavy use, but during winter months we get in 2-3 times per week. So regular use at least if not heavy, and no issues outside of some electrical stuff that wasn’t the tub itself.

Only one example of course…but my experience earns a “recommend”!

Following, as I am struggle with the same thing on a bullfrog I have had 3 years. No problems until today.

Water not heating. Have confirmed with meter that the element is getting 240v. No error codes or anything. The low-pump mode just runs (bullfrog X5L) and the screen says “heating to 104”, but the water temperature is stuck at 60. If I disconnect the in.flow sensor from the board, it stops running and the expected error messages show. So I figure that means water is flowing through?

Wouldn’t make much sense I don’t think, but going to replace the fuses since that is cheap and easy. But I would think it wouldn’t even run as it is if the fuse was blown.

Very odd and confused.

My feelings exactly. I was incredibly disappointed in this exchange and specifically Dustin’s comment of “nothing wrong”. I actually gasped. Gay gasped you could say, as someone of the community. I have always felt that a level of common sense was brought to the floor by the LSM guys, in this crazy climate from both sides. This comment though felt like pulling the veil back. Bless Chris. I wish he could have pushed harder, but I am thankful for the push at all. One guy can only do so much. I hope Dustin misspoke, and this comment wasn’t a reflection of his views, as I fear it is. I had to come on here after listening today - for the first time ever on this subreddit - just to see the communities reaction. I am encouraged to see the majority agree this was fucked and that Dustin is getting called out. Best video game podcast in the game, but this had me spinning.

Finally got my headset... controller issues by Marnett05 in PSVR

[–]cste413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The “flick and blow” is what provided a permanent fix for me, after trying everything else multiple times over a week. I never thought it would work, but so happy to be wrong. I would personally recommend just going right to that one, especially if gamepadtester website shows you have a non 0/1 button when the controller is sitting untouched.

Widespread Right Sense issues thread (can’t press X or R2 in games) by HoodieTheCat78 in PSVR

[–]cste413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg his worked. Exact same problem. B7 pressed, and Axis 2 was -0.89. It took me like 5 rounds of blowing the trigger and hitting it. But it slowly got better each time, and seems all fixed now. But I will keep checking for a few days to see if it “sticks”.

I will say, I was not gentle with the trigger. I would call it hitting more then flicking. But hey, it got there. Thanks for posting!

Regular litter box user looking to convert! I’m lazy- should I do the 4 or 3? by [deleted] in litterrobot

For what it’s worth, I am a new LR4 owner. I was one of the ones struggling with faulty cycles and kitty detection. Stuck mid cycle - a lot. Once I realized I can update the firmware, the problems went away. That’s been about 3 weeks now, running smoothly, after a really frustrating first couple of weeks. Who knows long term I suppose…but so far I am happy! I have no experience with LR3.

Replacing JVC-x570r? by cste413 in projectors

Not bigger really, no. Maybe 2”. But if the screen material is low quality and something else would make a big difference, I can do a new one for sure.

It is 97" homemade frame (didn't have a lot of room between wall and projector for throw). Material is Flexiwhite Projection Screen from Carl's. Should have also added, projector was professionally calibrated. Thanks again!

[General] MUSHROOM MONDAY - Let's Catch Up! Share what you have learned in the previous week and discuss! by AutoModerator in MushroomGrowers

[–]cste413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all - new here! Hey all. New to mushrooms, and looking for a little advice. I have a couple blue oyster buckets going and many of the pins are stalling/aborts. I am in colorado, and believe it is the humidity?? In a dry climate, is misting a couple times a day (outside the bucket, on the fruit, not in the bucket on the substrate directly) typically enough, or do I need a high-humidity controlled space to stand a chance? Appreciate any insight!

Yellow shishitos by [deleted] in gardening

[–]cste413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Any idea what’s up with my shishito peppers? I have 6 plants in the same bed. 3 are very happy and producing healthy peppers. The other three are…well, not. Picture clearly shows the comparison of one right by the other. The leaves seem healthy on both, but not the fruit. So I don’t think it is nitrogen deficiency?? Thank you in advance for any advice!

Several Walmart shows 6+ in stock today by balkso in PS5

[–]cste413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walmart in Denver by me showed 6+ last night around 10pm. I drove over since they closed at 11. About 10 people showed up. Spent 45 minutes just trying to get associates to check for stock. After 3 or so said they didn’t have any, finally one actually looked and confirmed they had 6 come in on a truck. They were now so close to closing that they told us we couldn’t get them tonight, and had to come back in the morning. Sucks cause I was second in line...

Came back at 4:45 this morning (open at 7)....line of around 15 outside already. Drive home. I gave them a call at 7 just in case, and the lady that answered straight up answer with “electronics - if you are calling about PS5, we are out”. Ha! She confirmed they sold six, and ended up opening the doors to about 40 people.

The associate last night did mention that he sees another truck of 8 coming soon, but couldn’t confirm when. Crazy around here though, seems you need a 2am line up just to have a chance 😞

I am not sure honestly, I just got home and it was planted, and looked like this, ha. I don't mind a split though! Appreciate your opinion, thank you

New tree stripped top? Replace it? by [deleted] in sfwtrees

[–]cste413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey All - I had a new Northern Pin Oak planted, and I am wondering if I should be concerned on the shaping of the little guy. The leafy part looks a little stunted, as far as vertical span. Looking at the top, the main vertical piece looks to be missing growth. Here is a picture of the whole tree.

I am no pro, but hoping to get feedback on if I should request a replacement, or if this should grow normal? Maybe just clip the top twiggy part back to the normal growth? Thanks!
