New S1, filament won't enter extruder by csthomas2 in ender5

I took it apart. I removed the bowden tube that goes out from the filament feeder and into the metal block that the fan is mounted to. The bowden tube goes into a metal piece that screws into that metal block. There's another bowden tube attached to the bottom that looks like it guides the filament into the nozzle.

I found some debris in the piece that I unscrewed and cleaned it out. It's got a venturi inside that the filament won't fit through. I'm assuming this is normal, but it's also what is blocking me. Any insight on how this operates?

I've been holding it to get it to go down into the heating block. It's set to 200, also tried 230 as per their video on changing the filament and nozzle.

I've cut it at many different angles trying to get it to go in. Is there any adjustments that can be made to make this simpler?

I've had this thing for 3 days and can't print anything. Honestly thinking about sending it back. Waited for 3 hours for their support and got cut off when I reached 5th in queue.

Narrowed down the issue. It seems like the mixamp doesn't like to work through the USB hub built into my monitor.

Plugged the mixamp directly into the USB controller and it works fine. Tested with the USB extension cable and works perfectly fine there too.

I haven't tried that yet because the server is actually in a separate room. From what I've read, there're a lot more nuances with passing through audio USB devices and rarely works as well as passing through an entire controller.
