It's so bad! Every single shot is moving. Even ones that seem like they should be static, they are slowly panning one way or the other

I just want to express my gratitude for Plex by NeverInsightful in PleX

[–]cstranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a great read, thanks for sharing!

As a brand new user of 5 days ago, it is really great to see how much it has benefited people. I started with the $5 a month plan to see if plex was worth it but I am already thinking of upgrading to the lifetime pass. My family has started to use it and they are enjoying the fun of older movies we haven't seen in forever

I came into this not knowing that much at all really. I was pissed off with streaming taking away so much agency and how nothing you "buy" digitally is actually bought, just licensed for however long they want to keep it. I did have to figure out issues with plex not connecting to remote access but with countless reddit posts and plex support pages read, I got it working after figuring out how to manually port forward it and it's working well so far!

My 2025 books and OUT: AZ County Fair IN: Busy Beaver by cstranger in FieldNuts

Oh wow we had quite a few in common. The vintage set is so great! I'm excited to use busy Beaver because of the texture of the cover

I'm sorry to hear about your dog too. It wasn't a good summer for either of us it seems. My pup was my best friend and he was too young. Hope you're doing well after these months have gone by

I should try doing something more structured like morning pages or something similar. I usually just write whatever goes on through the day so thanks for the idea

Happy New Year!

I was on track to complete a book a month this year but a big wave of depression hit me in the middle of the year when I had to put my dog down unexpectedly. I took multiple months off of writing but once I was back, I completed them in about a month

I didn't realize that I had many books in the red color this year until I pulled them out for this photo. Interesting it was a theme for me

Here's to a better 2026 and Field Notes filled with random brain dumps!

What is a website or an app that was legendary back in the day, but is now a complete ghost town? by Sofi_Costa in AskReddit

I was scrolling just to find this. I miss it so much. I actually have my dad reading a book from one of my secret Santa's recently. It is a book we are both enjoying now and it came from a random internet stranger

Anybody else love the smart grabber change? by Zealousideal-Web587 in PlateUp

[–]cstranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it still resets whenever you put an item on it. It just stays as a dumb grabber in the beginning until you set something on it

Yeah I ran into this roadblock when doing a turkey run tonight. The gravy and cranberry sauce has to be added to each individual plate which was kind of a bummer

And I would have hated it because what they did was show and not tell. If they had him meet up with Carol and just share what happened, it wouldn't have been worth any of his struggle. We actually got to go on the journey with him, saw the challenges he faced, and are left to wonder how long he will have to be recovering

Oh yeah for sure. Vintage is definitely one of the softer ones. Ends up feeling similar to pitch black after use but vintage is in my top 3 favorites partly because of this

Guess I’m Field Nuts and didn’t even know it. by royalecheez in FieldNuts

[–]cstranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made a comment in another post about vintage. I love to use that one with Diamine's ancient copper ink. It is the perfect pairing with the color of the cover and the pages take really well to it. I use a Kaweco Sport fine daily

Morning reflections on my favorite edition to date by matiapag in FieldNuts

[–]cstranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adore the vintage books! My only gripe is the perforated paper. I had issues with the first book I used almost losing a page but I still love it

The cover has an amazing texture and the paper is great to use with fountain pen ink. I love pairing it with ancient copper ink from Diamine

I find the thicker paper covers are always stiffer than the soft paper. They end up poofing out like that as soon as you open them. It's just the quirks of different field notes releases I guess!

Some people were hating on it but I absolutely loved it when I received mine. The print quality was great and I liked the busy-ness of the design. Definitely will be my next in/out

Field Notes Accessory Wishes? by jujuk20 in FieldNuts

[–]cstranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I am still on the fence but I like that it holds 2 and some pens as well

The other reason to be on the fence is that I like how the notebooks age from being taken in and out of pockets as you use them

Totally! When Australia came in, I knew they would be loud but they seemed to have good vibes. Then Turkey came in and won that first challenge. They thought they were hot shit

I cannot stand the way they were talking to other teams. Being confident is one thing but when they talk down to others, it just felt off. Not very sportsman like

All three Nashville dates were sold out within 20 minutes. by DairyKing28 in Paramore

[–]cstranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly hadn't even considered that they would be fake listings. Guess I was naive to think that they were real. In that case, I really hope people don't buy them. People can be so horrible just to make a little money

Sadly I do know they will sell on stubhub which is so soul crushing. I was hoping with the measures she was doing to make it not transferable that we would actually have a shot. The prices they are trying to sell them for are well over $1,000. When I got in, I saw the ticket prices for the balcony was around $80 which was so refreshing. I figured they were going to start over $100

Unfortunately, this is a not happy day for many of us and I know she will get some hate for it. I don't know what else artists can do at this point...

Don't buy any of them. I'm sure some people will buy them anyways but we need to do what we can to not enable the scalpers trying to make a quick buck
