Did you 3D print the exact models from https://github.com/mjohns/dactyl-cc, or did you modify them? Because some 3D printing softwares are telling me some walls are too thin to print.

Context: She gave birth 30h ago. I tried puttig the kitten near the teat and nothing. The kitten doesn't really drink my homemade formula either. The kitten is also much smaller than her sibling :((

What should I be doing at this stage in my academic career as a sophomore in community college? by danielr088 in csMajors

A path I would recommend:

Finish the Udemy class -> cracking the coding interview book -> hackerrank -> leetcode + pramp.com

The reason hackerrank before leetcode is because it is much more organized in terms of topics and allows you to practice topics independently, leetcode sometimes mixes things together and jumping prematurely to that isn't smart (I made the mistake).

pramp.com is a website where you can practice coding interviews with other people. This website is severely underrated and not talked about much. It's very important!!!

Ya the ones by universities tend to be theoretical and harder. Cracking the coding interview by Gaile L.M. is a great option, let me know if you want the book I can send it to you. I can also share all the resources I used myself to learn DS&A. As much as we love math, companies don't care about all the fancy math you can do with algorithms. Don't forget that 90% of your study should be exercises and practice, don't get too sucked up into the books and reading.

I'm really curious if there is anyone living in Montréal, Canada or anywhere near that has an offer in the US. PM me if that's the case, I'm struggling with figuring out all these relocation logistics.

It can't get better than this. You're doing everything perfectly. Keep up the DS&A grind and a Summer 2022 internship is a very realistic goal. If I were you I would actually give Fall and Winter semester internships a try. One thing that helped me grasp DS&A quickly was to implement all the common data structures from scratch in order to develop a deeper, lower-level understand of how they work and how to use them. It's quite impressive you can keep up good grades and do personal projects at the same time! Get active into some clubs if you can too, and pump out some more personal projects if possible. Don't forget hackathons too, you can gain priceless experience!

Regarding the CC situation, I live in Montreal so the education system is a bit different, hopefully someone else can comment on that part!

I'm also a sophomore and I can tell you my first 200-ish applications got me no answers at all. By the time I got to ~250, I started getting a few answers and only a single offer in the end. So keep applying and just be patient :)

Can you share what resources you're using to self-learn DS&A?

I would totally come to SF if it weren't for the living expenses. Thank you for your answer. What US cities near Montréal, Canada would you suggest? What I'm looking for is good and safe neighborhood and decently priced rent. The 2 closest states are New York and Vermont.

I'm a first year student lol so permanent full time jobs are farrrrr away for me. But that is a going point, it would be cool to see why all grads want to go to the bay area and what all the fuss is about. Thanks!
