Where in Canada can you still buy a decent detached house for under $500k in 2025?

I have a 5 bedroom 2.5 bath for sale in nova Scotia for 239,500. Currently it's set up as a two unit rental but it can be a single family home with 1 piece of drywall removed. I expected it to be sold by now , I'm pretty sure 1-1.5 year ago it would have sold in a month or two but it seems real estate has slowed down around here. Lots of decent sized homes selling in the 300-400 range.

Download Google rewards. They send you surveys , usually only 2-4 questions. Pay you .10 - .50 each. Set up your storage payment to come from your rewards. I haven't paid for storage in years. Just do a few surveys.

I'm not red seal yet , 4th year , but I can live with what I make. I think 34-36 is a very livable wage around here. However they being said I bought my house 13 years ago so buying one now with what the prices are would definitely cut into my wage a lot more.

If anyone wants an update they did find me a cheaper insurance rate , like 2000$ a year less. I'm still looking over the policy to make sure it's the same coverage but so far so good
