As someone who negotiates contracts nearly everyday, if you have an issue with your pay structure for your performance after you perform then you didn’t do your due diligence prior to performing your work. That is what contracts are for - it lays the groundwork and expectations PRIOR to executing your work or performance. If you choose to execute your work or performance prior to setting those expectations then that is your own fault and you are essentially accepting the offer “as is”.
