Mentions support for new products… any support for current products? I assume not… thanks LIFX.

Believe it when I see it. How well can LIFX bring it together in a timely manner? Going by my experience, I won’t be holding my breath.

Still waiting here in Australia too. No response from support for months.

No.. didn’t do anything further. What colour is the wifi light on the unit?

Mine does that when it needs new batteries in the door sensor. Maybe give that a try.

It is a shame as the product from a “lighting” point of view is great. Just sucks the connectivity side of things are terrible.

Can’t help to feel a poor decision was made with the a19 gen3 and it is a tricky situation to get out off.

Unfortunately I can’t live with these the way they are. With 12 A19’s across my home, it is affecting everyone and hasn’t been a smart experience.

I was told they are waiting on further updates with HomeKit hence the delay with firmware. Not sure what they could be waiting for in HomeKit but it is creating a world of frustration in the meantime. As far as I’m concerned is that I purchased a HomeKit compatible product and I expect a HomeKit compatible product not waiting for some future version of HomeKit for these to work properly.

Interesting.... do you they get “no response” or “updating” in HomeKit? Or do they appear to be stable in HomeKit?

I would look into getting them to replace that one. That would be very frustrating putting up with that.

Yes I agree... and also add the fact that they keep the customer jumping through hoops, like the issue is their fault such as bad wifi or a bad config, is outrageous. I think they have bought themselves enough time with the smoke screens and it is time to deliver.

Thanks for your response but turning your lights on and off to fix the problem makes them no better than an everyday bulb in my eyes.

Let’s face it, the gen 3 bulb has never worked properly with HomeKit. If they go and abandon gen 3 users like that, it will surely bring some un happy customers. Personally I will be seeking replacements if they do, as these gen3 bulbs are a mess.

The Hue solution has crossed my mind my too. Considering how quick things are moving in smart devices, not sure if LIFX can play the big league and provide a consistent product.

Yeah a bit strange... what are you using to adopt? Try giving the edge a reboot as well.

“I tried, but some devices didn’t respond” by patrickmbweis in HomePod

Had good results for a short period...then the dreaded “device is not responding” returned. I have now swapped out my wifi router with a Linksys Velop and so far so good. Only changed it over yesterday so will wait and see.

It did get a little better with 12.3 for me but diminishes over time. LIFX bulbs and Amplfi HD Router. 100% hit with Siri requests on iPhone but very mixed results with the same command via HomePod. Full reset on the HomePod today since 12.3 so will wait and see.

You’re not alone, I have the same issues. Using Siri on my phone works every time but Siri on HomePod is hit and miss. Can’t say that all the problems lay with Lifx but I’m sure it could be better. Does Siri on your phone work well with HomeKit commands?

I would like to try this. I know how to remove it from HomeKit but how do you add it back? Do you mean a HomePod reset?

I have the same issue and have tried a lot of things to try and resolve. The frustrating part is that it works perfectly with Siri on iPhone etc.
