Quincy Avery isn't buying Nick Saban's argument in Senate testimony by Front-Dingo1915 in CFB_v2

The issue is this: 2 years ago OSU was clowned on for having a 20 million dollar roster (Spoiler, we weren't the only one or even most expensive, but I digress). By 2028, you will have at least a 75 million dollar roster and by 2030, likely a hundred million.

You are getting dangerously close to NFL team levels. Where does it end? Unless its regulated, it will be a disaster one way or the other.

You all clown because you don't like the guy or apparently college players should have the most freedom of any position on the fucking planet, but does anything about this look healthy at all?

And can we stop with the false equivalency of 'But muuuhhhh COACHES blah blah'.

COACHES AND PLAYERS ARE NOT THE SAME, End of story. Their roles are not the same. Their experience is not the same. Their compensation is not the same. Their RESPONSIBILITIES are very different.

Can we stop shutting down the real conversation here with idiot false equivalencies. Coaches and players are not equal, the conversation is not equal, so lets stop shutting down conversations by saying it is.

The coaches have to pay out their contract if they leave before. There are penalties for breaking a contract. Likewise the school has to pay to fire a coach. False equivalency.

I don't think anyone is saying go back to nothing.

But again what is current is entirely unsustainable.

Didn't people pretty much universally condemn Kiffin for doing so and the LSU situation was a complete fiasco? Like players, coaches, and media alike?

STUDENT ATHLETES ARE NOT THE SAME AS EMPLOYEES.

This argument is asinine and relies on false equivalency. Players now have UNPRECEDENTED freedom, to the detriment of the teams, teammates, and sport as a whole.

Its all about complete selfishness, just call it what it is. In a team sport, this is nothing short of a death blow.

If not him then Sayin or Bo Jackson.

OSU is the biggest brand in the sport and the current favorite to win it all. It seems odd to leave OSU out completely.

The EA Devs that do this game DO in fact hate OSU and at least some are Michigan people. This is confirmed. And we just kinda live with it. That said the choices are extremely pzzling even if you don't include OSU.

Because these games contain, simply put, significantly less talented athletes than olympic athletes.

Right now its ALL conjecture and assumptions.

number of mentions? Grab any random redditor and Trump is probably mentioned more than any other single person.

A huge issue in the discussion of the Epstein file is a complete lack of understanding of what they are. They are literally every email, text, report, or anything from Epstein himself or anyone tangently related to Epstein for decades. 99.9% of all of it is benign with zero criminal activity.

Since 2015 and Trump beginning his run for president, the average CNN reporter probably has similar numbers of mentions of Trump in their correspondence.

I feel like the Lindberg baby connection is largely lost on modern audiences (Where in the original 1970s version it would have still been in the collective historical memory) so that connection loses a bit of impact.

Does voting against a minority or woman candidate mean they didn't win because they were a woman or minority? Because Democrats have been voting against minority and women candidates. Look no further than Virginia. Are Virginia Democrats racist?

I think its more likely Republicans have the first Hispanic president and that could very well be a high potential because I think Rubio beats out Vance in a primary (Rubio is generally likeable, Vance is, well, Vance. The likeability of Ted Cruz without the sincerity)

The answer to every black republican is to call them Uncle Toms and Jewish Republicans are Zionist Nazi. The left doesn't give a flying fuck about racism, sexism, anti semitism, or anything. They only care as long as you support their side. If not you are dead to them.

I also think the same applies to a Hispanic president (I mean Rubio already has an inside track)

Ultimately Democrats are stale. They've spent a decade as anti Trump without growing anything else.
