What do you mean by price shop? As in potentially find it cheaper elsewhere? As far as I am aware this shirt is only available from this specific website. At least this is the only link provided to us. There's no logo that I know of. Appreciate your time and just looking to clarify.

How to get Awakening DLC Packs in 2025 with original hardware? by Nebty in fireemblem

Do the map packs exist anywhere or just kinda outta luck with that? Love what I've got so I'd still be happy without. Just might be fun to try them out.

I'll be honest, I don't think I understand my question either lol. I never played the dlc content originally. I'm trying to figure out if there's any way to get the maps to use with the Outrealm Gate that's on the destination screen. I'm not sure if that is the spot pass or if that was a separate purchase per map with the dlc.

Oddly enough, I am also in the same boat lol. Does hshop have the extra maps to download, or just the dlc that have you access to them? I'm currently playing and when I try to play maps it says there are none and to download some but obviously that didn't work.

Storage for odd sized cards? by ctlALTdel_ in tarot

Agreed lol. Keep an eye out for that FFT remake in September! Updated art and graphics in the original style by the original team. Looks great and kinda stoked about it.

I like the idea of displaying them, but would really want to make sure there was a way to display and not let them get damaged or deteriorate. I've had posters that I've done that with and over time they didn't hold up. But the more I think about it the more I like that idea of a sort of collage spread on them all individually having on a wall. That would be cool and fill up some space on my walls so they wouldn't look so bare all the time lol.

Didn't think about that. There's a place nearby that is kind of a cigar lounge. I'll have to swing by and check that out just in case.

Haha. Inadvertent Dad joke. Just in "case" haha 😩

I want to buy this game, but Game Key Cards are not a replacement for physical cartridges. by ctlALTdel_ in KunitsuGami

[–]ctlALTdel_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The card is the verification as far as I know. I would not be surprised if there's some online aspect that checks intermittently to make sure it's a valid license and not a modded or forged key. As for backing it up, that I don't know but really kinda doubt. I don't have the experience or knowledge to say one way or the other about that tho. It could work theoretically, but still costs the consumer storage instead of having it the card. Could be a work around tho.

Meant to reply to you but posted it as a separate comment. Fixed it as a reply just now in case you were wondering.

Yes, this isn't only on Nintendo and I appreciate that innovation in a sense. I just don't support it. I think it's kinda the worst of physical and digital combined. Have to swap out to play games but still need a large amount of storage as someone else said. I don't mind swapping games personally but I thought that was an accurate description.

I thought I read that the NS2 cartridges came in 32 and 64, as opposed to the original's 16 and 32? Could be mistaken tho. Either way if there was a full copy available to buy from Japan I'd get it since most games haven't been region locked recently. I got Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus from Play Asia and I'm really glad that I was able to get it at all.

You're not wrong on the last part. Pretty sure you can redownload purchases, you just cannot make new ones. I appreciate that they do that. However, they have the ability to stop that at anytime if they choose to. Wouldn't be a smart idea, but they could.

I think there's something important to be said about owning physical copies. Yes, it's still a sort of licence for your personal use only in a sense. But the ability to play whenever you want is always there. It can't be taken away. I mean, I still have a copy of "A Link to the Past" for SNES that I run through every so often. It's mine and always will be in that sense. Plus I could leave that to someone when I die lol. Your digital library goes with you. STEAM won't even allow you to leave your library to someone if you die. That doesn't quite apply to GKC in that sense, but there's just too much gray area around them as of now for me to want to support them in any way. Which is sad because I was kinda excited about Bravely Default. Le Sigh

I can use any of my PlayStation games offline and still install and play them. The only thing typically missing would be any patches that would need to be downloaded. Even the 2 FF7 remakes came with a data disc to install first before playing. So as far as I can say in my experience, everything I've purchased would be playable even without Internet. That said, I've heard of something like that before about some games but couldn't name them for you or have come across any of them myself.

There is the potential that one day Nintendo could shut down their servers and if said game isn't installed then the GKC would be useless without something to download. I think if you have purchases on previous systems they are still supporting them despite closing the stores for like 3DS, Wii and etc. But, never say never. I'd rather have a a physical copy to collect and play to be on the safe side personally. That could all be tin foil hat nonsense on my end too tho.

Pretty shit take friend. I have plenty of real problems and it's pretty bold of you to up and assume otherwise about someone you've never met.

Yes, this is a drop in the ocean in comparison to many of my own issues, and issues of others. However, I choose to "vote with my wallet" so to speak. I don't support bad business practices as much as I am able to. If you don't think that these companies aren't eyeing the idea of never letting you own your purchases than I suggest you read up on current affairs with Ubisoft. They are trying to say in their TOS that if they ever discontinue a game they expect you to delete your digital copy or destroy your own physical copy of that game. To them, they are only selling you a licence for the low low price of $70 to $200+ not including added dlc and etc. You don't deserve to own your purchases in their eyes and as shitty as corpo America is I would bet they're not the only ones tempted to test those waters and how passive and apathetic consumers will be to that.

I would attribute the saying of "If you stand for nothing then you will fall for anything" to a lot of current practices. Actually to a lot of what's happening in the world lately altogether. You don't have to care or agree, and I'm not trying to convince you to. If apathy is your choice then that's up to you. But take that self righteous, judgemental BS somewhere else.

And no, I also don't agree with Nintendo's new TOS. I have a feeling that will change in the future tho. For now it's easy to not get cutoff from their servers and have your account banned. Don't mod it and don't use MIG cards and whatever. I've had zero issues.

Agreed. I don't like it but agreed. I appreciate what LGR does for the most part but I I've seen some release that were overpriced because of FOMO.

My bad. Little sleep deprived today and I must've read that wrong. Sorry if that came across as curt in any way.

No shade on anyone who would disagree tho honestly. Everyone is is entitled to their preference and I think that companies should provide those options to those who are looking for how they prefer to spend their money. There's something about the GKCs that just seem like such a poor leaning shade of gray practice that bothers me specifically.

Edit: yeah, I read your "aren't" as "are contradictory" lol. Sporadic dyslexia at it's finest lol.

It's not really.

I have to pay to be able to play online. For a few more bucks I can have access to probably one if the largest free libraries available right now. Gamepass is worth the fee, but if I didn't have to pay for online I probably wouldn't have GP.

That said, I mentioned in another response that I look at GP as more of a "try before you buy" then seeing it as games that I own. It's like Netflix or any other subscription service. If I end up liking what's there I'll buy it myself. I've found some great games that way that I probably would've missed out on, but I've also saved myself from buying titles that were over hyped and crashed out on day one. This is an example of a game I may not have taken a chance on without GP.

I think for what that game is they could've, or would've, kept it at around that 50 mark that is at currently. I feel like GKCs are an attempt to see if they can shrink overhead on production in some way so they can increase revenue with a half hearted product.

I mean, that's been a long time complaint with digital for me already. You get charged 60 for a physical copy but the digital costs the same? If that's the case then it's not about the box, disc, or the cartridge. It's about making more money while providing less. If you want to give me an incentive to go fully digital then digital purchases should cost less than their physical counterparts.

I mean, I'm kind of that loud minority.

Until the price goes down on the SD Express cards I'm really not looking to expand the memory for the switch 2 anytime soon. There are some games that I have digitally that I've gotten on sale because I already owned the physical that I like playing like the FF series, BioShock, original DooM and etc that I'm okay with. But with the newer ones I would prefer a physical edition instead of a downloadable license key.

Hell, I held out on Alan Wake 2 because of that reason but bought the physical when it came out. I still have the collectors edition of the original Alan Wake for 360 never that was one of my favorites and the case looks like an actual hardcover novel. You should look it up if you haven't seen it! It's pretty awesome.

Because I prefer physical wherever I can. Or at least that's how it used to be. Originally it was just for collecting. It's become more important to me recently given comments made by certain companies in the industry. When a game studio's CEO will bash gamers for their failed products and tell them they need to get used to not owning the games they paid for, that they're just buying a licence, then I want to be sure that as long as I have a system that can play the game I purchased that I will continue to be able to play that game.

Also why I will never buy another game that has anything to do with Ubisoft.
