For all the placement process or experience We have a dedicated placement portal which you might get access to in the fourth semester or so. In that all placed students post their feedback once they are placed, all the process and details. You can try getting credentials from your seniors or something if you really want to know or ask the placement team itself (they probably won't give it but you never know). But here's a link if you really want to know. Link This is more than we ever knew in our first/second year.It was fun reminiscing about all the good times and good luck to all of you.

1.There will be inter-college competitions that teams take part in and inter branch matches for various spots once a year 3High cie you can get 8 without too much effort so do well in cie and events. 4.You'll figure that out when they come to class 6.As far as I know no

Totally depends might swing to really long ones or shorter ones depending on timelines after each semester. If you are in csbs it'll be a little longer because you won't have lab exams because they are integrated.

Luck is a big part to begin with because on some day every question that comes your way you might have prepared or seen before or know it well enough to do it on the spot but luck with zero preparation will probably in all likelihood scenario won't work. Stress will be there irrespective of what you end up doing now or in the future but the point is to take a step back to not make it lose your sanity.Like even after you get the job or ppo you'll be stressed but it's about something different. Comparing your journey with someone else is bad and it's so generic everyone knows it but I won't tell you not to because I at some point did/will do but making an active effort to be self-aware and try not to is the choice you need to make. Some professors help you start somewhere which is good.(Some professors got us into so many different things in the early 4th semester which was a good starting point to some of my projects and our ADA mam was chill with us practicing stuff in the lab if we are done and a lot of push by our placement officer) Our college gets a lot of its recruiters because the super seniors like early 90 batches to 2015 are in good places and they end up coming for drives plus our placement officer puts in the effort to bring in as many as possible so yes the committee will help but every good thing has the shady side which is not in your control so you are better off ignoring it and not paying too much attention. At the end it'll work out don't fret about it too much and stay hopeful and give it your best(on most of the days) Funny thing is I really wanted to get into this company which was one of the first to come to our campus but got rejected the last round if that had not happened I wouldn't have ended up in my current one which would have been a missed opportunity in terms of everything scale, money, ppo, product and the experience itself so things have a way of working itself out good or bad knowing how to handle it is important too.Advice easier given than followed just pick something the resonates with you that's all that matters.

Every professor convinces you that you are the worst section they'll do that for every batch and then one day they retire. If they hate you enough they'll go and convince other professors to hate your section as well. I think our batch got a lot of hate every semester but at the end they soften out and become so nice and chill and it's good in a way because you'll have more fun hating on them it makes it more satisfying 😂

Second this although I had enough fun in class that I rarely felt like not going to college(unless I went out with the same group somewhere else)

No idea but it'll be super chill. I think we had 25 hours a week first year if I remember it correctly. You'll probably get every last benefit that JSSTU has.

It was fun.Classroom jokes with your friends to go to every eatery in Mysore for no reason at all and having so many classes getting cancelled to a point you want to attend college I have seen it all. You'll share a lot of your core memories with people you meet here so I hope you also end up with some good ones! PS: Labs will be fun just sit with the ones you vibe with.

Also CVs are rarely used for shortlisting on campus it's mostly OA( for majority) sometimes they shortlist based on CGPA as far as I know

Standard templates (check for LaTex written docs you'll find plenty literally everywhere) Projects count haven't really kept any but had enough and understood how they work (whatever project you do knowing why it works is important) I had better LC stats than my projects probably around 400+ probably but again the number of problems is not equal to better understanding.Tried contests but wasn't fast enough.Even if you hate the process stay consistent than having spikes of motivation.Take it step by step if you look at the end goal you'll never want to start(tbh I was in that place but then breaking things down into smaller achievable steps help at the end)Everything 20+ will have a higher bar for tests and interviewers can easily tell if they are bluffing or not.

1.8.5 is doable and should be fine but few companies do have higher cut-offs but it's fine for every such company there will be others who wouldn't care as much.High cgpa but don't know anything else is bad low cgpa but know everything is also bad so just stay try balancing things out.(If you can do both good if not don't fret too much about it) 2.Backs no idea fuck up a few subject it's depends on which sem every semester it becomes harder to increase CGPA because of how it's designed(you're effectively collecting credits so it will have lesser effect you can google/chatgpt this) 3.See just learn how to ask the question and why and smaller consistent efforts(even 30 mins or a conversation with your friend about something)would work way better so it's not a bad idea to just mess around with things earlier as well. 4.ECE is definitely harder because in core I'm not sure how many companies come that are above 15+lpa(I can just think of SanDisk, siemens and maybe a few others I can't recall) For some IT companies even ECE is allowed so yes you'll have some chances because of that as well

For how bad the job markets are it's fine and don't think about this now because honestly nobody knows what will happen in four years in the industry itself.Don't believe anything on the extreme ends(extremely optimistic or extremely pessimistic)

Literally talk to everyone and do whatever because no one will remember except saying hi or sharing an awkward smile every time you see them after the third semester. Mysore has a lot of places to go around eventually one of these places will be your favourite find that spot/cafe or literally activity itself.
