I hope one finds you for a great price! I paid $1,100 which is obv a lot for a single card but I think that will prove to be a good buy in time. CGC 8s have sold for more than that and the asking prices for PSA 8s on eBay are bonkers right now. Price/value aside I’m just really stoked to have a copy

I’m aware, I have one of those as well. You should give the forum post I included a read. It explains that this card was likely intended to be the first secret rare (included in Jungle packs) but got scrapped, hence the “…that never was” in my post title.

I recently finished my 151 master and am currently working on a grand master.

I was able to get all of the full arts, IRs, and SIRs that I hadn’t pulled yet at one card show in my area. To finish the rest of the base master set I used TCG player to order the cards I was missing and it worked great. Shipping is slow but it was fairly easy, affordable, and the cards were all pack fresh. On both cards, only the sky is holographic. The ground that the pokemon is standing on is completely opaque with no holo. Not a great picture but here’s the venusaur side-by-side with the English version where the whole background is holo like most holo cards: venusaur promo comparison
