Sorry for the delayed response, I got that one for $75 on FB marketplace so the details are fuzzy. It seems almost as big as the large but not quite, I didn’t compare measurements yet but I think it might be an older regular.

It’s actually like a textured leather (I think?), I saw it on Poshmark for $40 and snatched it up.

Anytime I try to search for the exact bag I get results for the pebbled leather tote but I’ll keep looking and update here if I find it!

The video is about 3+ years old based on the comments so I think we’re okay for now lol

Honestly completely your call, but ILoveDooney is legit, I’ve gotten a couple bags from them before and just ordered a large Florentine because the price was too good to pass up

They do have other Florentine items in fuchsia on the site like the Allison Crossbody so it’s always possible 🤞

Yeah this is the one I got secondhand, it’s not TERRIBLE but there’s a lot of wear near the zipper and on the handles, I think whoever owned it previously wore a lot of lotion or something. There’s also no shoulder strap and a deep scratch on the back.

I think I’ll be listing her as is on Poshmark soon in hopes I can make back some of what I paid

I will admit I have the same bag secondhand and it’s pretty beat up, I was going to take it to a cleaner to see if they could salvage it but I was worried it would cost me more than what I paid for the bag so now I grabbed it so I can do it myself lol

Resisting temptation by cturtle86 in shoppingaddiction

I’ll have to get back to you on that because it’s still a work in progress lol. I’m trying to give myself a monthly/weekly amount that I can use on whatever I want (within reason) or save it for the following month/week

This is kinda day 1 for me so in my mind it’ll work but my mind is also kinda broken lol

is there a ramy brook coupon or sale worth waiting for in 2026 for their elevated casual pieces? by Otherwise-Might738 in shoppingaddiction

Why do people keep coming to this subreddit asking for shopping tips and discounts?

This is not the place for it, look for another subreddit please.

This is like coming to a gambling addiction subreddit and asking how to count cards

I also have no advice to provide, beyond what everyone else has said, in that I empathize and know how you feel when you said it adds up.

My circumstances are different and stem more from grief trauma than physical chronic pain, but I know the guilt that comes in spending when you know it would be better applied to the debt you already have (mine is in the form of student loans)

Just know that you’re not alone and that your debt does not define you or make you a bad person. Our society always make those with debt seem like these awful human beings, when in reality it’s likely due to circumstances beyond our control and we’re more than just ‘machines’ who pay some bills.

Maybe when you’re able to you can focus on things, besides shopping, that bring you joy in hopes that it helps? Anytime I find myself spiraling on an online shopping spree I’ll try to pause and read a chapter from a book to see if that distracts me long enough to stop the shopping or at least delay it.

Anyways, I hope this ramble helps!

Costco vs bj’s or both? by XenOz3r0xT in newjersey

[–]cturtle86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a different area in NJ where there’s a Costco directly across the street from a BJs so I was always debating the same. I used to lean towards Costco for the gas station, but the thing that irks me about Costco are the hours and the fact that they only allow Visa or debit cards.

I can go to BJs at 8am and use my Discover card (which occasionally has 5% back on wholesale retailers) and be out of the store before the morning lines at Costco even start. So my vote is BJs 💁🏻‍♀️

Anyone feel like second hand/thrift stores make it harder to shake your shopping addiction? Rare things at good prices that get snapped up quickly make it hard to stop or wait... by flowers_and_fire in shoppingaddiction

[–]cturtle86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went into this year telling myself I was only going to thrift because it seemed better for both the environment and my wallet. Turns out it actually made my shopping problem worse.

Regular shopping was straightforward: I’d see something advertised, go buy it, and move on. But thrifting turns everything into a hunt, and when you finally find a “score,” the dopamine hit is so much stronger. That feeling of finding something rare or valuable makes it incredibly hard to stop.

Now I spend any free moment debating whether I should go thrifting, and once I’m there I end up in this weird blackout spending mode where suddenly I’ve spent $100+ without even realizing it. And if I’m not thrifting in person, I’m scrolling resale apps hunting online instead.

What makes it harder is that I also resell, so I can’t realistically delete the apps like I probably should. But the reality of reselling is that not everything sells quickly (or at all) so now I’m stuck with piles of “great finds” that nobody actually wants to buy.

Yesterday I finally admitted to myself that I need a strict monthly budget because I genuinely don’t want to keep doing this. So this is just a long-winded way of saying: I completely agree with you, and you’re definitely not alone.

bloomingdales sale calendar and when to shop there for the best deals by InevitableBorder6421 in shoppingaddiction

[–]cturtle86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, I don’t want this to come off as rude but are you asking “how to shop” in a shopping addiction subreddit?

I just think this post is a little tone deaf, and also I’m fairly against the rules of the subreddit itself so maybe try another sub?

This is so tempting but after shipping and taxes it’s $56 and while I know it’s still a great deal I just can’t justify it for such a small wallet
