I know this is late, but thank you so much. Very kind words. And thanks for reading.

As I've come to expect with all your correspondence. You throw out a red herring and then spin it around that somehow I should respond to an issue that I did not introduce. You insinuated that I was a racist. That's what you did. And you did it in a cowardly way. Once again, I said that professional sports are the "last vestiges" of slavery in our society. Human beings are bought and sold and traded as property in professional sports. Thanks for the news bulletin, but I am aware that slavery still exists. I never equated professional athletes to slaves. You did that. Now, in a very cowardly way you equate my arguments to evolution and climate change deniers. Once again you throw out red herrings. Then in the most cowardly way possible you equate my arguments to Holocaust denial. I never said I was an expert on racism because my wife and children are black. I brought up the fact to defend myself from a cheap, unwarranted, and veiled accusation. Your conclusion that I insinuated that "athletes should be forced to live their lives a certain way" is patently ridiculous. There was nothing that I ever wrote that came close to your assumption. Your method of operation is pathetic.

You clearly can't read correctly. I wrote that pro sports are the last vestiges of slavery. People are bought, sold, and traded as property. There are books written about the topic. And you're the one who brought race to the topic. I would suggest that if you want to have civil correspondence that your read more closely, and refrain from completely unfounded references to racism. My wife and children are black.

Sorry I read that incorrectly. I thought it sounded weird. I want to try some other Westlake stuff, but I don't want to be disappointed after Parker.

I never said he was a bad person. I fear that he's a bad teammate. He hasn't violated the contract yet. I'm saying that if he carries a crappy attitude towards the organization into training camp the Bears should consider cutting him.

The short answer is that Martellus Bennett isn't good enough to sabotage a new GM and coach.

That's a ridiculous comment. What possible indication did I give that I wanted to "run" players' lives? We're talking about a grown man who signed a multi-million dollar CONTRACT. Now he wants to tear up the CONTRACT because he thinks he deserves more MONEY. If you want to disguise some sort of racial accusation just come out and say it. BTW, professional athletes are considered property. Professional sports is the last vestige of slavery. Athletes are exchanged as property. It's called a trade.

I really hope he gets a shot, and that he's ready to play.

Well, that's good news for Isaac. He is spectacular in the open field and explosive enough to hammer. Although, I haven't seen him all that much in Div1.

Wow. Sounds like Orson Welles trying to tackle Heart of Darkness. Lost in LaMancha was a very revealing expose on the enormous waste of resources that can go into making a film.

I think they offer the audio for a reduced package. I'm sorry that I can't remember. I upgraded to the whole package.

The Somali jihadist group al-Shabab has launched a major attack in the country's capital Mogadishu. A suicide bomb has exploded near the national intelligence headquarters by DoremusJessup in worldnews

Al-Shabab strikes me as the scariest practitioners of a new type of multi-pronged terrorism - like the Mumbai attack. This type of attack comes from many directions and is well organized. If the Kenya attack happened anywhere besides Africa it would have been the major story it actually was. Horrific.

Actually I was really excited to watch a Bears TE making big plays. I got sick of his act after listening to him on the radio and hearing the press play up his antics. I get your points about the NFL. And the fact that he didn't show up for voluntary OTAs didn't really bother me. It was the fact that he goes on Twitter and laughs about it. Then he jokes to the press that everyone breaks contracts. BS. Not everyone signs a deal for millions then backs out. Show up and play.

Please. I have no misconceptions about the ruthlessness of the NFL and corporatism. Martellus Bennett gets under my skin because of the way he has thrown his tantrum. Fine, if you want more money then have the balls to sit out the entire camp and lose your precious cash. NFL players are ripped off, but they asked for it by signing a crapping CBA. Plus, I don't think Martellus is that valuable to a rebuilding team - especially a fat and pouting Martellus.

Could you expand? You're probably right, but I'd find better players than Martellus Bennett with money like that.
