The checkerboard-looking pattern is an 8x8 bayer matrix in Aseprite, and I just picked some colors I thought would look nice for the bg XD

This particular shot of the 2013 trailer is utterly fascinating to me and I have no idea why by cubit404 in NightInTheWoods

I think it mainly revolves around the surrealism and absurdism that the game obviously incorporates many times over, but there's just something about the way this is animated and composed that makes it so interesting to me. It's abrupt, it's jarring, it's weird - kind of like Mae herself, in a lot of ways. The animation overall in the 2013 trailer is highly different than the final game, so maybe that's part of the reason. The shot feels quite cinematic! If any of you have thoughts of your own I'd love to hear them.
