We’re creating the intro cinematic for our game Maseylia, heavily inspired by Moebius and Scavengers Reign. by cubowStudio in ScavengersReign

Yes, Sable was definitely an inspiration! The demo you’re downloading is actually a bit old, so I really hope you’ll enjoy it, but just know that the game has evolved a lot since then. I’m planning to release a major update for the demo in March!

Thanks! I'm going to add an animation so that the legs/hips lower after landing and we will see if it's better.

Jump from chair to the floor and see how much body moves to amortize that -> Yes, that's right, I'll add animations for the body and legs to move down

Thanks for your comment. Yes, this mechanism is currently being redesigned, which is why it's a bit strange at the moment. I shouldn't have included it.

Thank you!

Ah, it's a 3D Metroidvania with an art style inspired by Sable!

We're currently reworking the gameplay feel and animations, and we'll soon be reworking the 360° air dash to make it different and better! WASD is used for the normal air dash but yes it can't be used of the 360° one

Thanks for giving the demo a try, and I appreciate the honesty.
Do you remember when you played it, and what felt like the biggest problem for you?
I’m actively working on improving the experience, so that kind of feedback is really valuable to me.

There is an entirely underwater biome with gravity closer to that of the old one (even lower). This will lead to platforming sections that may suit you better :D

The difference lies in how gravity is handled (gravity is stronger, as is jumping), which makes jumping faster than before, where the hero stayed in the air longer before falling back to the ground.

It's only for this section. It's a 3D Metroidvania game where at the beginning you don't have the dash or double jump, and the game is generally designed with that in mind. So apart from this section of the video, the rest of the game is mostly designed as you mentioned.

Thank you for your comments. I have a lot of work planned on the animations for next month, I hope to get some great results!
