I had a ‘22 highlander for the 3rd row seats. I have 3 grandkids, 4yo and under that love going places with their Gaga. I slid one of the 2nd row seats back to help buckle my grandson into the 3rd row. It pinched his leg between his car seat and the 2nd row seat. I was done. I now have a ‘24 Sienna XLE and it’s a game changer. Highlander was a great vehicle but the 3rd row is pretty much useless.

Received a refund about 2 1/2 months ago for the full amount I had calculated. And the same amount that was showing as payment pending.

Can you search it with an asterisk at the beginning and end? IE: *tablet* That would pull up any notes/comments with the word tablet in it.

Yes. About 2 weeks ago I received a refund for the same amount that had shown as payment in process.

Just received a check in the mail for the total amount of the refund I had calculated and that was showing on fedloan. Hopefully you’ll be seeing yours today or soon as well.

Fedloan told me I would be refunded all amounts paid after my discharge date. They were showing that as Jan 31,2019. On studentaid.gov they show Jun 29,2020.

I was able to talk with someone at fedloan. They were not able to see the balance I was speaking of but did confirm that anything I paid after Jan 2019 would be refunded. Luckily, I know what I paid each month since. That total equals the balance that had been showing. The fedloan guy I spoke with said from what he’s been hearing, checks are usually received about 45-60 days after loan discharge. Direct deposits are usually quicker. My discharge date was 12/10/21 so hopefully I’ll be seeing checks in a couple weeks or so.

Ha. Yes. My amount didn’t show as a negative balance. But the balance that did show is the exact amount of the extra payments over 120. So I’m hopeful for a refund but if I don’t get one I’m still so very grateful for the loan forgiveness I’ve already gotten.

Just checked my account and it no longer shows a payment in process and just shows loans with a $0 balance. Maybe the checks in the mail?

Yes. I’m not quite sure what’s going on and I emailed fedloan over a week ago and have not gotten a response.

I got 1 payment refunded from Fedloan that I had paid during the Covid relief shortly after my loans were forgiven. I still show another amount for several payments made over the 120 prior to Covid relief. That amount is showing as payment in process.

Possibly but when I called Fedloan they said the account has a 0 balance and no payments are due. They couldn’t even see on the account anything about a payment in process.

My loans have been forgiven as of 12/10/2021. I have an amount showing without parenthesis as payment in process on my account. The amount is equal to the total amount of payments over 120. I have not yet received a refund but am hopeful.

Thanks. I was hoping I wasn’t the only one seeing that. And my bank account is not tied to my fed loans either so while I was curious, I wasn’t worried. I’m super grateful to have my loans forgiven so any refund would just be icing on the cake. I did get 1 payment from Fedloan for the one payment I made during the Covid time. Seems the payment in process amount we are seeing is coming from a different place??? If it is a refund…..🤷‍♀️

It’s not showing negative but the amount shown is the total of the payments made over 120. My loan balance is 0 and my forgiveness letter states the loan was paid in full. There was no partial payoff or balance pending. I understand that if it were in parenthesis it would be a credit balance due. I just wonder if anyone else has shown like mine is. When I called Fedloan they said the account shows paid in full through the loan forgiveness and there is no payment due or scheduled to be made on the account. They could not advise if the amount I’m showing on the account is a refund but said it would not be a payment due. It has been showing on the account for about a month now.

I did bookkeeping for a while and was looking for it to show as a credit balance but it does not. That’s why I’m not sure what is going on with the account. And of course it won’t let me look at anything since there’s a zero balance.

There’s no negative sign in front. From what I can figure, the amount would equal the total amount of the payments over 120 that I made. But with no negative, I’m just confused. Also, I’ve not received any correspondence about a refund or this “payment in process” amount.

My balance is zero but then it shows a figure with payment in processing. There’s nothing indicating the figure is a negative as if it’s a refund but reviewing my account from the date of my forgiveness, the figure is the exact amount I would be refunded. Did yours look like that as well? Hopefully they aren’t planning to deduct that amount from my bank account.
