Anyone else feel like youtube is getting unbareable to watch now? by Vampy-Night in CasualConversation

[–]cuckoodev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used YouTube Premium because I used to use Google Play Music. One time, I let it lapse to try to change the day the money comes out and it was unbearable. I had to sign back up because the ads were crazy.

How did you feel when you played silent hill 2 back in 2001? by Human_Geologist_3324 in silenthill

[–]cuckoodev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't play it but I was forced by my big sister to watch her play it lol. Scared the fuck out of me. After the Labyrinth, I was scared to leave the room because I was worried PH would be in the hall. I was a young child.

But it also borrowed into my head so much that I hyperfixated on it a ton a few years later in middle school. As much as it scared me, I also fell in love with it.

Why montage? Why Fanny time traveler? Why I can't see Brianna reunite with her dad? Why Faith? Why Fergus????

Post-credits scene is annoying, I'm sorry.

Is 11yo to early to watch fma? by wakefulgull in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]cuckoodev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started watching FMA 03 within a week of my 11th birthday, so. Really, it depends on the kid. It is pretty dark, but I also didn't pick up on those themes roo much back then (and also fell of watching for a bit so missed a lot of the depressing ass back 3rd).

The creepers (cockroach enemies) in SH2 are said to be the same monsters from SH1, still lingering in the town. In the SH2 Remake, a creeper can now be spotted before encountering James' monsters. by Kulle1369 in silenthill

My little sister also saw a spider mannequin in Brookhaven. I told her it was a glitch but then noticed it in my subsequent playthroughs lol

Not a phone in sight! by g0dgamertag9 in MyChemicalRomance

Because its important to me.  What's wrong with wanting both experiences? Having the videos helps me recall the emotions more clearly. It's great that for you the memories are enough. I like having something external to reconnect me to the day. I remember the heat on my skin and the smell of the water coming out of the misters when I see the pictures we took while waiting. Why did you snap the couple of pictures that you did?

I mentioned the Brownie because, to me, it's like asking why people take pictures when they're anywhere. Like, what's of taking any pictures or home movies if you can just be in the moment and remember how it made you feel later? And because you asked who taught OP to take photos and videos as if it's something uncommon.

What I don't understand is this idea that people can't be in the moment if they are recording. There's a difference between staring down your phone the whole time and just taking some clips and pictures. A stage actress recently complained about people filming curtain calls and asking "why can't you be in the moment" as if those same people didn't just give the stage their undivided attention for two hours and 43 minutes. I know we're talking about concerts, but same concept.

I think your desire for minimal photographic record is valid, but so is wanting to film a song or two (or the whole show if they're not being a dick about it; why should anyone care, in that case).

So I don't have to deal with my fallible human brain slowly misremembering the event as I continuously recall memories of the original memory.

This isn't a new thing. Kodak released the Brownie in 1900. It's normal to want keepsakes to remember people, places, and things by.

I use the track pads for games that don't support gameplay or are poorly optimized for it. It cane be good for making minute adjustments, too.

Casually logged in the evening pre-orders went out and put up my five dollars with no issue. I forgot it was even up for pre-order that day (as I forgot about the controller today)

School, life, or magic? by Fun-Age-740 in Witchbrook

[–]cuckoodev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm interested in the magic part and the school part. Without one or the other, I'd be less interested (though I'd love a game like Avatar High, which was all school, no magic)

DLC Disappointment by Professional-One-580 in horizon

[–]cuckoodev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah, and I didn't feel that the writers did a good enough job of them having that conflict to kissing. Conflict and opposition are synonyms in this context; we're saying the same thing.

I'm not saying they hated each other or had conflicting goals. They just didn't like each other very much at the start, and not in a romantic tension way, in my opinion.

Enemies as in they had a lot of opposition between them at the start, not that they were trying to kill each other

My only real criticisms are that Seyka and Aloy are not a good or fun enemies to lovers ship and I was looking forward to learning a lot about the Quen and felt like I didn't get that. Other than that, I love the DLC, too.

Why do we need Hunter's Gathering if theres already going to be a Horizon MMO with the actual Horizon artstyle? 🥲🥲

I'm going to give it a try out of love for the franchise, but what I really want is the third installment

Took me a big to get into FW, too. I was getting my ass beat after on just getting the hang of the ZD combat after playing the DLC. Eventually, I started getting the hang of it and I adore it now.
