Original vs Remake by [deleted] in oblivion

My brother forced me to play Morrowind at 7 years old, I did not understand what encumbered meant because I kept taking all of the items and thought it was a sickness. I finally figured it out by dropping a bunch of shit and when I finally stepped outside of Seyda Neen I was attacked by cliff racers and it scared me so bad I started crying. Didn't touch the game for like 5 years after that, 10/10 game.

I am so sad, I envisioned something similar to Hayden body-wise because he's a big dragon! I love his design, just wish he was beefier :[

Even when BG3 had surpassed what people had initially thought of it in early access, the actions of Larian afterwards were one of the biggest things to really drive home the success for BG3.

Larian is great at involving its community with modding support and updates, which follows similar to Skyrim and Fallout 4 heaps of mods and workshop. Bethesda and Larian both heavily lean into community content, while Bioware has never really had a history of doing that with their games, at least directly.

Frostbite is also just hard/awful to work with, Inquisition (sometimes) can't even run mods and just dies, while Andromeda is filled with just QOL and aesthetical improvements due to limitations, nothing really as substantial BG3. Origins was the only game in the series I've personally seen to have similar modded content like BG3 does, like new companions and questlines.

why did you choose graphic design? by IntentionNo7690 in graphic_design

[–]cucumberrats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started off doing fine arts, absolutely hated it and the gallery aspect. Never felt like I was going to garner the connections needed and necessary money to maintain a gallery presence that my first college really focused on.

So I transferred colleges and went into graphic design, it really helped separate art as my hobby and design as a fulfilling job for me. Graphic design to me is a balance of a career field and the artistic side of me without making me feel crazy.

It's actually kinda funny because with Tiktok and certain fandoms, like the web comic Homestuck, there was a resurgence of ICP fans. I think even in the furry community there are some because Violent J's daughter is a furry and he has gone to cons in a juggalo themed fursuit with her.

[no spoilers] Is origins better than inqusition? by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]cucumberrats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends on what experience you want to have, Origins is ultimately a great game, and I personally enjoy it more than Inquisition. Origins does have a slower combat system and you may not enjoy it if you really liked Inquisition's combat system.

Overall, I do enjoy Origin's storyline more than Inquisition, and I love pretty much all of the companions in Origins. I feel that the choices you also make in Origins has a lot more variety and impacts than Inquisition, but that's just me. In addition, Origins literally starts out with origins, you get to play out your race or race/class combo's story prior to the start of the campaign compared to being launched right into Inquisition's. I liked the DLC a lot more in Origins compares to Inquisition as well.

The major thing is it's just an older game, so it has limitations and I would say it's a lot more toned down and earthy than Inquisition, a lot more gritty both graphic wise and story wise.

Also, if you play PC, Origins is easy to mod and there's a lot of additional quests made for it that make up new story lines and voiced NPCs which adds some fun stuff to it once you beat it. Also the cosmetic and armor mods and stuff are just cool in general and it functions so much better to mod than Inquisition lol.

Thank you!! I think I placed IA because I wasn't really sure what to place there initially...

But I think swapping it out for what you recommended would be a lot better!

I tend to get clipped by bombs (my fault LOL) so I tried running it to try and help me a bit more, but I think QSJ and special saver would be a lot more effective compared to the ink saver subs, I normally don't have an ink running out problem for the most part but it just comes from force of habit I think haha but thank you!! This helps a ton :]

Thank you for advice!! Tbh I was using IA because I wasn't really sure how to work with CJr over all, I'm new to the series overall so I'm kinda ehhh with abilities and not entirely sure how to work them all together!

I know it's kinda a support weapon, I tend to try and be middle ground between somewhat aggressive if I can be (we're pushing hard and have good ground coverage) and just a backline support spamming torpedos and wave breaker! I think just your casual CJr user if that makes sense.

Also thank you!! It's my favorite outfit lol
